When are transfers allow?

I am using 3 years of points (totals 633) this use year (ending June 2006). I am thinking about trading/transferring 155 of these points with someone who has OKW as their home. This way my reservations can be made earlier.

What is allowed and what is not for trading/transferring?

Transfers may be made either into or out of an account each Use Year. (If you have poiints transferred into your account this year, you cannot transfer points to someone else until next Use year.

Banked and Borrowed points may NOT be transferred.

Transferred points may be banked into the following Use Year.

Transferred points are supposed to retain their original Use Year and Home Resort status, but the DVC system currently has difficulty tracking that data and the points may assume the Use Year and home resort status of yor resort. If the Home Resort of the transferred points is important to you (to get the 11 month reservation priority at another resort) , be prepared to have MS manually track the points for a reservation you want to make.

DVC Members are "expressly prohibited from receiving compensation for engaging in any Transfer activity." (Translation: DVC will NOT get involved in any dispute over the transfer of points to another member.)

The transfer of points is an irreversible transaction.
