When are the Value seasons? And Peak seasons?

What deals are typically offered at the different times, if any?

Are the value seasons slower crowd wise or busier?

When should the 2008 packages be released?

i can answer a couple of your questions. Disney has 5 seasons: value season, peak season, regular season, summer season and holiday season. there are all kinds of discounts available that you can find by searching the internet or even on these boards. each resort level (i.e. campsite, cabins, value, moderate, deluxe, and vacation clubs) has different "seasons" so depending on when you're going and where you'll be staying, that determines what season it is and what the discounts are. i have found that the value seasons are less crowded then any of the other seasons but sometimes that all depends on when schools are out, vacations are scheduled, etc.

value season are getting less each year - Jan, Sept - part of some other months

peak season - also called holiday season - christmas to NY, easter week, palm week (week before Easter), spring break weeks, summer weeks (called summer) - depends upon the resort as well.

deluxe have a smaller peak season, than values.

2007 Seasons for Disney
Value Season: 01/01 - 02/14; 08/05 - 10/3; 11/25 - 12/19
Regular Season: 04/15 - 08/23; 10/4 - 11/24
Summer Season: 05/24 - 08/04
Peak Season: 02/15 - 04/14
Holiday Season: 12/20 - 12/31

Disney is rumored to be changing how they charge. They may be charging extra for weekends and special dates in 2008.

And don't forget mid to late summer is Value season at the deluxe resorts, but Summer season at the values. It really does depend on the the resort as to what season you are in.
