Hello all! I am new to the DIS, and I am curious about some things. When is it appropriate to start a pre-trip report? And mostly, why would anyone want to read them? Now don't get me wrong, I have been reading them, and find them very amusing and helpful. But it also seems like the ones I've read are by DIS veterans. I myself am certainly NOT a veteran. I have only been one time, and that was 7 years ago. Believe it or not, we actually skipped the MK, because that's for kids! Now, before you all gather your torches, I can only say that I have been reformed, and we are planning a 7 day trip with 2 days at the MK! We have 99 days today, and I am doing tons of research, and have made all my ADR's like 20 years ago. So my question is, would anyone out there actually read the pre-trippie of a Disney novice? And if so, when should I start it? 99 days seems like so far away, but we booked at 210 days, so we have decreased our wait by more than half. Any guidance from all you oldtimers, excuse me, veterans, out there will be appreciated!

hah dont worry, we wont use the torches.
me being a novice myself, would LOVE reading a pre-trippie of yours!
you could start writing a pre-pre-trippie now, and just include all of your planning details, or you could wait until about a week or so before your vacation.
i hope i helped!!

I have only been to Disney once, I am by no means a veteran, all I have learned now has been from the DisBoards. I would glady read a pre trip coming from a novice. I have been reading pre trippies that started last February and their trip isn't until the end of this year so really I think there isn't a set time that is appropriate for starting one, just when you get the itch to start...then start. Mine isn't until Dec but I love being on the boards and sharing so I have started mine already.
I look forward to reading your plans and seeing what things you will do different from your last trip.
