When and why did they get rid of the funtastic world of Hanna Barbera

It is now Jimmy Neutron Nicktoon Blast. It is the same ride with a new movie and different programming. They also have an area that you can play in.

This is the sort of thing you have to expect in a theme park. They want to create "brand synergy" by pushing their current "product."

If you really enjoyed Hanna Barbara, then you will really enjoy Jimmy Neutron. Same ride, just different characters. My DH was also disappointed at first. He loved Hanna Barbara. But after riding Jimmy Neutron, he said it was no big deal. They are both great. The only thing is, instead of Yogi Bear and the Flintstones, etc., you have Jimmy Neutron, Sponge Bob, etc. They still have the Interactive play area too. They are just trying to update the cartoon characters to more current ones.

IMO they should have gutted it all together instead of simply changing the theme. The park doesn't need 2 simulators.

You can have two simulators. Spider man you're actually in a car and everything is in 3D, whilst Hanna-Barbera, was more of a show

Yes, Spider-Man is different, but that's at IOA and I was refering to Back to the Future. Which is the exact same type of simulator as Neutron.

Oh, I don't know about that. I think Jimmy Neutron appeals more to little kids than BTTF. I think BTTF is okay, but it makes me a little queasy, as where Jimmy Neutron doesn't, so I think I would still prefer that being there if I had the choice. I am not big on simulators though, other than Spiderman (Gotta Love Spiderman!!), so it wouldn't really bother me too much if they did replace it with something else. Five years down the road they will probably change it again. Seems to be their trend anyway.

I have to disagree. I loved Hanna Barbera, but really love Jimmy Neutron. It's a great attraction, and my DS loves it more than BTTF. It definitely has it's audience! Still a great attraction!

That is what I was saying above. I would take Jimmy Neutron over BTTF anyday b/c BTTF makes me queasy! :crazy2:

I know what you mean. I love BTTF, but it does make me queasy as well.

Especially when you sit in the back row because your head bangs against the thing.:headache:

LOL!! I usually sit in the front but it makes me so queasy...don't know why I keep riding it to begin with ...so this last time I sat in the back with my DH. I didn't get as queasy but I have plenty of bruises to remind me not to sit in the back again. I don't know which is worse, the bruises or feeling sick afterward. And the crazy thing is I will still probably ride it the next time we go.

The whole reason why it is stupid for them to get rid of Hanna Barbera was
1. Hanna and Barbera are dead, so it was a nice tribute for them.
2. Adults can enjoy it as well as youngsters since the characters are old
3. I don't like the Wildthornberries or Jimmy Neutron.

Well, I have to agree with you about one thing...as much as I like Jimmy Neutron, I do think they should have at least left some of the Hanna Barbera characters in the ride.
I grew up on classics such as the Flintstones and Yogi Bear, so I am w/you on that!
