When 2010 dates are released...

The word is that the info will be released on 7th October with booking either 14th or 21st depending on who you speak to. I am sure Disney will let us know when we can book when it announces the dates and itineraries.

What is really important is that you DON'T try to cover bases by instructing a travel agent, making a request yourself with Disney online and the try the phone etc...

Pricing levels go up as booking requests are submitting not as they are confirmed. For example if there 40 Cat 10 cabins available at first tier pricing 40 different people could be quoted and book at this price. However if 20 people asked a travel agent to get a quote and then got one themselves (i.e. taking up 2 of the quotes each) this would also trigger the next tier (more expensive) pricing.

I am sure there are technicalities wrong with the above description but I was just trying to illustrate that if you make reservation requests in more than one place even if you don't confirm them you are driving up pricing!

Hope this helps

Of course, this makes me wonder about DCL themselves....

Everyone who "booked a dummy" while on board the Panama Canal cruise (in other words, wanted to book for 2010 but dates weren't available so they had to book a 2009 date) were assigned to the 12/5/2009 cruise. This has got to throw their pricing structure out of whack and will leave a lot of empty rooms to fill at tier 3 pricing.....

I thought so too Tom but the booking lady told me they designate them a way that does not put the revenue "in the stream" and not to raise that cruise pricing. In other words she said they have a way of knowing they are not really intended for that cruise.

I was given 12/5/2009 when I booked onboard back in May - but they told me that if I wanted to keep that reservation (ie ACTUALLY sail on 12/5/2009) then I could. So it must be holding it somehow - I've actually got my 'dummy' stateroom number - so surely they couldn't sell that room to someone else could they??:confused3

Sorry if this is slightly off-topic, but what do you think the deposits will be? Does anyone recall what they were for Mexico/PC? I'm sure DCL will announce this soon, but I want to be prepared, hopefully I can make this happen:thumbsup2

Thanks!

Thanks!

Deposits for the longer cruises were $500/pp.
