I think that wheeled bags have now become my #1 pet peeve in the parks, passing inconsiderate crowd smokers in a single bound . For Pete's sake, why do people feel they need to bring an entire 5 course meal with them in a wheeled softsided cooler? Why in the world would you bring a SUITCASE? The wheelies were everywhere on my December trip, tagging behind their owners in the Christmas crowds. I literally tripped over one and almost fell. You just don't expect someone to have another 3 feet of personal space behind them in the MK on New Year's Eve!

Why can't Disney enforce the "No Wheelies" rule?!? Thank you for letting me vent :headache:.

I have to agree! I was tripped by a couple of those puppies last visit! Glad you survived! I can't imagine them in that kind of crowd!

My pet peeve is those double side by side strollers!!!! People get crazt with those things! They think they own the place! If you need a double stroller get the one that the child sits behind the other! The rolling coolers don't bother me as much as the side by side strollers. I am going back to WDW next week so I will have to keep my eye on the cooler situation.

When did wheeled bags become allowed in the parks? I thought anything that had to be pulled behind you was not allowed? Is this something they just stopped monitoring over the holiday because of the crowds?

I agree we saw a few during our Christmas visit. I almost tripped over a wheeled backpack once and saw an older gentleman go down hard. Fortunately he was attended to immediately by several CM's, unfortunately the person who tripped him just kept on going....

I saw two people with wheeled backpacks in the same party who were told that they must be worn not dragged, the bags had wheels and backpack type straps. They were told first by the bag searchers and then by the CM at the turnstyles - they had both packpack straps and wheels.

Yes, you know it as soon as they were past the turnstyles down they went!

I did see many a cm ask a smoker to move to the smoking section and was happy about that.

Once again, some people just feel compelled to break rules. How annoying!!!

At least the strollers (should be) in front of people so that they can be watched! People just toddle along with the pull-alongs behind them going every which way!

I was amazed at how many people had the suitcases on wheels also. I don't think they should be allowed in the parks as they are a safety hazard. I realize I was there during a busy week but I had to be on the alert for them also. I have a vision problem especially at night and don't need something else to trip over. I don't mind strollers as they are a necessity but a wheeled suitcase is not.

Wierd. We were there for two full weeks in early to mid December and I don't think I saw any of those. I didn't think they were allowed . . .

What on Earth are folks dragging along with them to the Park that they need a wheelie suitcase????? I carry just about everything (it seems, esp. by the end of the day) and it fits either in a large hipbag or a small backpack.....

We were there also in early December and my DH commented on those wheelie backpacks as well. I guess they bring them in usingthe straps and then when tired of carrying them....down they go! Luckily it wasnt that crowded that they were in everyones way, but they were definately noticable, especially the suitcases. I wonder what is so much that they have to have dragging in a suitcase?

I have no clue what was in it, but a man was dragging a full 20" rolling suitcase behind him in the MK. I saw other guests with food and canned soda in medium soft-sided rolling coolers and lots of the rolling backpacks. I know WDW is a full day and a bag can get heavy. I know the food is expensive and you can get an entire case of Sam's Cola for the price of one Diet Coke. But please! These things are really dangerous in a crowd. Bring a regular bag with you and rent a stroller for it when it gets too heavy!

Don't ya know that is where they put their just turned 3 kids once through security so they don't have to pay for their ticket. :earboy2:

We have a rolling cooler. Only time we used it was by the pool at the hotel to keep our drinks cold. No way would I take it to the park...I can fit what I need in a fanny pack.

I'm just back from WDW and saw loads of people pulling suitcases. I fell over a couple, I don't think they should be allowed. It was hard enough managing the crowds last week without the added danger of suitcases.

When I went last December/January and on July 04, I saw lot's of wheelies too. My sister, who had not gone to WDW for a while, was surprised that wheelies were accepted on WDW.
I know that people want to save money, but I think they can have a cheap and good meal at disney without the need of dragging those bags. I know that it would annoy me to drag that bag all the time.

OHHHHHHH! You're BAD!! :D

I saw a woman with a wheeled suitcase - it held her daughter's emergency medical supplies. The child was in a motorized chair and the grandmother also had a large bag that may have had wheels. That's a GOOD reason for a wheeled bag. But to bring lunch? I don't think so!

But what did they do with the suitcases when they were on a ride? Aren't they way too big to fit on most rides?

I hate wheeled suitcases because on pavement they are SO LOUD! Hopefully, WDW will tighten up its policy soon, before more people get hurt.

The medical supplies could be kept in another location a suitcase is not the only option.
