Wheelchairs at Resorts

My DW broke her ankle on 07/19 (had to cancel my trip to SSR)

I booked at new ressie for Sept.

we don't know if she'll be off the cruches by than,
do resorts have wheelchairs available for use ?

I believe they are first come - first served, so you may want to rent one from one of the offsite places listed in a sticky at the top of this forum. Hope she's all better by your trip!

The Resorts have a limited number of wheelchairs for loaning to Guests for their length of stay. However, these are not the best wheelchairs in the world; they are heavy and do not have adjustable leg rests. They cannot be reserved in advance. They are available on a daily basis for rent at the parks, with a discount for "length of stay" rentals.

However, we tend to suggest to people that if needed they consider renting an ECV to give more independence. We also suggest that the rental be from off-site; the prices tend to be lower, the ECVs are better, and the wheelchiars are definitely better than those rented by Disney. And, if the user also needs crutches the off-site rentals can come with crutch holders on them.

That is another possibility.
If you are flying, wheelchairs and other mobility devices are transported free of charge. If you ask to gate check it, you will be able to keep it until you actually board.
