:scared:I will be traveling with my aunt and uncle this summer. We are staying at the AS Sports for a week and was wondering what was the best/most cost effective way to rent a motorized wheelchair. They both have knee issues and can't walk all day. They are pretty pricey at the parks, so I was wondering if it was better to rent outside? If so, where can we find that information? Is it better to get it from the hotel for the length of the stay? Any information you guys could provide for me would be great. Thanks in advance.

Go check in the FAQ section of the disabilities board. There are some companies listed there that people have had good success with. We've rented scooters from Scootarama and some other company - can't remember right now and DH is sleeping. Were happy with both. These ECVs are smaller than the ones you get at the parks but are comfortable. Both times the ECVs were waiting for us at check-in at CSR. We would turn it in when we left and the company would come pick it up. The only downside to renting scooters from an outside company is getting on/off the busses.

I would suggest going over to the disABILITIES Forum. One of the first threads is the disABILITIES FAQs. On Post #2 we have a lot of information for people with mobility problems, including suggested vrendors and rates. To get directly to the disABILITIES FAQs from here just click on the link in my signature.
