I had knee surgery 2 months ago and am not recovering as quickly as I'd like. i'm concerned all the walking may get tough for me, so want to be prepared should I need to rent a wheelchair or scooter of some sort. Anyone have info on how/where to do this?

You can rent either of them right outside of Disneyland, to the right of the Main Entrance. If you rent from DLR, you can use it to go back and forth between DL and DCA, but you cannot take it beyond the Esplanade (meaning not into DtD).

Prices and full information can be found on Disneyland's web site right here.

Assuming you are staying within walking distance, I'd program the number for Deckert's into your phone - (714) 542-5607. They can deliver an ECV to your hotel if you decide you need one for the whole trip, and then you can take it back to your room with you every day. The ECVs are very good (I believe better than Disney's) and cheaper than Disney's too. If you have some fatigue/endurance issues but are otherwise OK, you can drive the ECV to one land, park it, explore that land, then drive it to the next land, etc. I'd suggest you don't hesitate to get one if you need it. It really helped make my mom's last trip to Disneyland SO much better.

If you're not within walking distance (even a long walk), renting an ECV at the parks may be the better option. If you're driving to the parks then I think renting might be better too, because loading an ECV into a car takes some doing.

Wheelchairs are less recommended because if you're not used to wheeling yourself around you'll have trouble, and someone will likely have to push you.

Have a great trip!
