Hoping someone can help. Taking "Mom" to Seaworld for the first time and she doesn't walk well at all. Planning on getting a wheelchair in the park. Can you walk me thru how to do this? We will have a handicap parking tag but will that be close enough or 1/4 mile walk to entrance? Also, the shows, is there special handicap seating? And if so, are these the seats that get splashed? Mom would NOT be happy with that. Thought of all the parks in Orlando (she has done none) this might be best for a wheelchair..any thoughts?

Here's a link to SeaWorld's website. It doesn't have a lot of info about wheelchairs in the parks, but does say that they rent them. The page has a "contact us" link that you can use if no one here knows anything.
The last time we were at SeaWorld was a long time ago, so hopefully someone who has been there more recently will write a reply.
We found the park to be very hot and humid (? because of all the water??), so you might want to go there on a cooler day. At the time we went, a lot of the wheelchair seating was in the splash zone. My DD liked that, but that might be a problem for you.
You might want to look into renting a wheelchair or ecv (motorized scooter) for your trip. That way, you would have one where ever you go and wouldn't have to worry about the parking situation. Here are the places that DIS posters report renting from:

The hadicapped seating is located near the top of the theater. You can park the wheelchair there and walk to your seats afterwards. You don't get wet at the shows.

The Travel Channel just had a show on Sea World. Some of the H/P seats were definitely in the splash zone. I saw them using a squeegee to get the water off the seats that were clearly marked H/P. I bet you have a choice to sit in the splash zone or to sit higher and avoid the water(my choice).

Possibly when we went, they put us up in front because we had a child. She is also not able to get out of her wheelchair (unless we lift and carry her), so she has to be parked wherever we will end up sitting.
At WDW, in all the outdoor theaters (Fantasmic, Indiana Jones, Beauty and the Beast), many of the handicapped seats in the rear of the theater. Each theater also has at least a few seats in the front. I would not be surprized to find Sea World has the same arrangement. I guess, if you want to avoid the spalsh zone, just ask.

I went to Sea World a couple of yrs ago. I went to Shamu show. I was drenched...and I didnt leave my wheels :) for the rest of the day b/c it was Dec I was still wrining myself out :) But I do know you have a pretty good seat no matter if you want to get wet or stay dry :)

When we went we were right in the front, but i was perfectly content to get drenched! lol i was HOT! I just covered my ecv w/a poncho! lol There are seats farther away tho, or at least they were, plus love sea worlds ecv's...much nicer than dis'(may be a die hard dis fan, but sea world does a great job providing easy access IMHO anyway! we also really liked the option to return a 2nd day! Since we go down for two weeks, its a real bonus.
