My congratulations to all of you who can have your dream weddings at WDW!!!!!! I hope you all know how fortunate you are and how special above all specials it is! I did weddings for 15 years and the pictures I see in my eyes there....oye!

Okay so here's the rub......we had a quick wedding 25 years ago (preggers so had to move it up! oops!), finally had a mini-honeymoon at WDW for our 15th and finally coming back for our 25th! Still not in a position to "splurge" thanks to job layoff (grrrrrr.........) BUT I want the PERFECT dinner at Cali Grill and the absolute PERFECT cake/dessert to surprise my love of loves with! What pray tell would all you wizardresses of planning suggest I do! I will pay a reasonable amount ($50-$75) so what would you do????? We were going for vow renewal but *ouch* $$$$$..... Maybe for the 30th. Don't mean to sound overly frugal but......

Depending on where you eat (I know you mentioned the California Grill), there are pastry chefs that will make specialty cakes for you. If you want it made somewhere else, you can have it delivered (delivery is about $75).

The Grand Floridian seems to make the most decorative pieces, but I'm sure the California Grill does special items too.

Check out this Disboard Cake thread. It has the cake hotline, and it includes all sorts of tips. It also has many, many cake pictures that have been ordered.

I think you could have exactly what you want for the price you're looking for.

That was such a sweet introduction! I remind myself all the time how lucky I am to get married at Disney! It is a dream! Ok, on to helping you with your anniversary... You said cali Grill? The first thing that popped into my head is watching the fireworks from there. I think that would be very romantic. I know you can also get a special cake made for the celebration. That's a start. I've never eaten there, but I hear it's beautiful!! Happy Planning!
