What's your useless super-power?

I can pretty much start a conversation with anyone and keep it going.

One of my tricks is to make eye contact. The SECOND you see that slight change, you know your other person is talking about something they like, so I ask further about that.

That is awesome, I'm totally the opposite. So awkward and uncomfortable talking to people.

My Super Power is that I can wear any hat and it will look great. Anything, I've tried all kinds in every store I can think of, I just have a head for hats apparently. We still haven't found a hat that looks decent on DH, nothing at all.

Matching tights then??? :rotfl2:

The only super power I seem to have is plunging the toilet. :crazy2:

Sadly I don't have any others... (unless you count making chocolate miraculously disappear).

I have two.

My first is that I'm able to find a parking space close no matter where I am or time of day. My second is that I always get somewhere right before it becomes really crowded. This may be the line in a movie theater, at a restaurant, etc.

Can I go Christmas shopping with you?!!!

Someone just posted that darts might actually help battle cancer and heart disease. My superpower just got a major boast. Might not be sidekick level anymore.

My useless power is I can tell when I'm about to receive a text or phone call, just before I actually get it.

I do this, too! It used to kind of freak me out, because it would happen a lot. Now I just see it as a a convenience lol.

I had a co-worker tell me once that I'm a "wading pool of knowledge"... I know a little bit of information about lots of things. My family refuses to play Trivial Pursuit with me. Oh and I'm also the only one in the family with the ability to both feed and let the dogs outside :)

That is me. I am not an expert in anything but I know a little about everything. No one likes to play trivia with me.

I apparently have a semi photographic memory. If I study something, I usually can recall it by thinking of my notes and then where on the page it was, and then it will come to me. It only works if I look at something within the past couple hours or so, but it was an extremely helpful skill to have in college!

I can usually tell you within maybe a degree or two the temp outside in any season.

I have the ability to extinguish streetlights by walking or driving by them. I have no control over this superpower, but it is uncanny how many times the lights go out when I go by!
My DD's theory is that I emit some kind of darkness-creating force field that is strong enough to overpower some but not all streetlights.

I'm sorry I didn't ready thru this whole thread when I posted a few moments ago but oh my gosh I have that ability, too!! It used to really freak me out escpecially when I was on my way to work in the mornings! I'm glad I'm not the only one that extinguishes street lights!!

I have 2:

I can remember license plates like crazy. Not just vanity plates, your standard letter-and-number plates. I can remember the license plate of the guy who rear-ended me 23 years ago.

I can make my husband stop snoring at night just by telling him, while he's sleeping, to stop. He starts up, I just say, out loud, normal tone of voice, "Stop snoring," and he does - without waking up or turning over or even moving one muscle!

The stop snoring thing is a cool superpower! Wish I had that one.

I wake up 2 minutes before my alarm goes off. No matter when it's set for, or how long I have to sleep. Never 1 minute, never 3, always 2.

I have the gift of getting anybody to tell me anything/everything.
I've been told zillions of times that, "You are so easy to talk to."
It's a nice compliment, but I have heard things from people that make me
I've heard about people's affairs, ailments where it's TMI, financial situations and more.
It's crazy what people share with me - sometimes it kinda stresses me out. :faint:

My husbands is the awesome gift of never getting lost - it's incredible.
We can go anywhere and he just knows where to go.
I'm jealous, cause I get lost in my own back yard :rotfl:

I have this power too. Sometimes it makes me uncomfortable...like when the bag boy at the grocery store told me all about the adult fiction novel he was writing. I was not familiar with the genre. Turns out it's erotic adult fiction!!! I was sorry I started that conversation.

It's not really useless, in fact, it's kind of useful. Like a pp, I never use an alarm clock, never have in my whole life. Before I close my eyes to go to sleep, I say to myself, "you have to wake up at X:00" and it's NEVER failed - I wake up ten minutes before that hour. Even when we change time zones, like from the US to Europe. Strange, but helpful when we're traveling and forget the alarm clock (DH insists on an alarm clock as a back-up in case my superpower fails, which it never has.)

I can remember very specific details from totally random events & conversations that happened decades ago while at the same time walking into a room and forgetting why I went there.

I can recall song lyrics, pretty much word-for-word, no matter how old the song.

I'm also somewhat of a spelling savant. I have one co-worker in particular who asks me how to spell various words several times a day.

My husband also seems to find me hilarious, and I have no idea why. I'm not remotely amusing; at least, from my perspective.
