What's your preferred dining rotation?

Hi. I'm booking later today. Just curious as to what everyone's preferred dining rotation is for the 7-day Eastern and why? Thanks for your input.

We haven't actually cruised yet, and I had the same question. I had orginally booked late dining, thinking that I wouldn't have to hurry back to the ship for supper that way. But then I changed it to early dining. I now thinking that if I'm still on the island or whatever, I would rather miss the sit-down meal, and not miss the show. I could always get room service to bring something to the room while I got ready for the show. My three kids are older now 9, 11, 13, so bedtimes aren't an issue.

Lets see if anyone who has cruised can help us with this!

I wasn't referring to early vs. late but rather the rotation. Ex- Animators Palate, Parrot Cay, and then Lumiere's vs. Parrot Cay, Lumieres, then Animators Palate etc.etc.

Whoops, sorry 'bout that:o

I didn't realise you could pick your rotation. What is the reason you would pick the order of the restaurants, if you are going to each one anyway? Is it better to be in a certain restaurant for the special nights?

I'm thinking I would prefer my formal meal in the more formal (Lumiere's) restaurant as opposed to the more casual Parrot Cay

You can't pick your rotation, but as my TA said, it doesn't hurt to ask.

Anyway, on the Eastern we personnally prefer PLAPLAP, because it puts you in Lumieres the second night ,which is Formal Night, and puts you in Parrot Cay on Tropical (Pirate Night)

Same here. And we asked our TA for that rotation, they took care of it!

Thanks- That is what seemed logical to me. And while I know nothing is guaranteed I am pretty confident that my Travel Agent can do something given enough advance notice. Certainly they have come through in the past.

I found this to be the most overblown concern of the cruise.

We requested the rotation with Lumiere's on formal night for our western cruise next year. DU told us it wasn't guaranteed but usually you get what you request.

i have late seating & requested through my REAS reservation to have APLAPLA... this will (hopefully) put me in Lumiere's for formal & parrot cay for pirate nite :sunny:

I'm with you on that. All of the restaurants are equally nice. I can't see why it would make any difference at all, to be honest with you.

I may be wrong.... but wouldn't PLAPLAP be the rotation you want?
That was our rotation, and we were in Parrot Cay for pirate's night (Tuesday).

Animator's first because it gets u in the spirt of things, Parot Cay second because I can skip it and go to Palo while we're in Nassau, and Triton's last.

If bratray is on the Western sailing then APL would put them in Lumiere's for formal & semi-formal and Parrot Cay for pirate night.

I'm just glad to be on the ship. Any rotation will do for me.

DVC4US- THANK YOU! i was having a moment of sheer panic while sitting at my desk at work:hyper: i had planned all my Palo reservations to correspond with APL.... Rotation-being in the dining area for the first animation show, being there for pirate nite.... i thought, OMG, i have really screwed up!!:faint:

Thank you for straightening that out!! & yes i am on the western sailing:sunny:

At what point do you find out your rotation? I will be going on Eastern Dec 11 and haven't yet received my documents. Do they tell you the rotation? I would like to know for booking Palo.
Lisa
