Hello all,

As you all know being the brightest minds there is on all things DLP; a lot of people come here for a lot of advice about a lot of different subjects.
However, if you were talking to someone who hadnt been to Disneyland Paris before and you had to give them only one piece of advice, one rule to follow when visit DLP, what would it be?!

Personally mine would be go when its quiet if possible as its 100% more enjoyable and less stressful!

What would yours be?!

go midweek, low season :).

Ah, if only I weren't a teacher!!!

My one rule - ENJOY it, whatever your experience is, whatever you see etc. just make the most of it!

Try and avoid the cold winter months especially if you have young children, it's just not the same walking around in hat, coat and gloves.

Plan well, wear comfy shoes, take pointy elbows :rotfl2: and enjoy the magical atmosphere for what it is.

I'd probably go against the grain and suggest that they visit mid-week during peak season.

All the rides are normally open, there's a full entertainment schedule (with extra shows, parades and fireworks), the parks open much later and the weather is normally decent.

It just doesn't feel like Disney when the park shuts at 7pm without a light parade and fireworks.

I know you have to queue longer for rides but the positives far outweigh the one negative.

Mine is for DLP first-timers who've already visited the US parks ~ don't make comparisons but enjoy it and love it for itself.

comfy shoes:rotfl2::rotfl::laughing::thumbsup2
Got there before me!! :rotfl2:

My tip is get as much done as possible on day one when you have loads of energy! We are always so productive on day one and then more relaxed the rest of the trip spending time to take in all the details and let our poor feet rest :goodvibes

Start at the top of the cocktail menu and try to remember where you stopped before you start again the next day.

:thumbsup2:lmao:

These are all great tips, as I am a first timer to DLP and will be heading there in 2 weeks!!!

My tip would be: Don't run from attraction to attraction trying to do as much as possible but walk around, enjoy the atmosphere and theming and most of all: don't miss out on the parades/shows since I feel these create the actual magic and not (just) the attractions.
Oh, and if I get a second one: for goodness sake don't go fastfooding, there are so many wonderfull restaurants with delicious menus on offer!

Mine would be make sure you get the opening hours and download the 'what's on' guide before you go (they only tend to update a little beforehand). Then PLAN to within an inch of your life (very important if only going for a short time!). Work rides around parades and shows etc.

Obviously some people like to 'go with the flow' others like to plan, I'm in the latter camp (wherever possible with two littlies in tow mind you!) :thumbsup2

There is nothing worse than coming away with that feeling that you have missed something you really wanted to see! :rolleyes1
