What's your must-see attractions at Disney MGM Studios, FL?

What?! Nobody likes the Great Movie Ride!! :faint:

Also the TOT! My favorite Ride by FAR!!

Sorry snyderla , I just noticed your GMR! :bitelip:

After many visits, I've gotten down to maybe three things I ever would go to the Studios for.

:) Rock 'n Roll Coaster
:) Tower of Terror
:) One Man's Dream - just to see the wonderful theme park artwork by the Imagineers, especially the original maquette for the Tree of Life at the Animal Kingdom!

Maybe the new auto show will be fun once or twice.

My six year old would add:
:) Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground
:) Chicken nuggets at the Sci Fi Diner (actually, I could go for a burger and a chocolate milkshake from there right now!)

The list has changed with the aging our our kids:

When DS and DD were pre-teen:
Beauty and the Beast
Muppets
Indiana Jones
Star Tours
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Hunchback stage show/HISTK playground
Backlot Tour

Now that they are older teens:
RRC-Aerosmith
ToT
Fantasmic
Star Tours (never goes out of style)
The comedy team on Sunset Blvd.
Millionaire
The Great Movie Ride

We've done em all and I'm sure I'm missing a few.....as you can see, there's no lack of fun and entertaining attactions in MGM.

and our 2 not-to-be missed sit down choices: Sci Fi and Mama Melrose's
Yummmmmm...... :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:
One Man's Dream

RnR Coaster (DD's Fav)
ToT (my Fav)
Great movie ride - the alien part scares my DS
Backlot tour
Beauty & the Beast
We don't do Indiana Jones much because we've seen it so many times
We love the SciFi DineIn - it's like an attraction itself.
Fantasmic - we like to do the Fantasmic dinner package so we don't have to wait in line.
MuppetVision 3-D still - even though we've seen it so many times!
I like to walk around and check out the details.

My kids still like the "Honey I shrunk the Kids" playground too.

I can't wait to see the Lights, Motor, Action show. We're going over Monday and are going to try to see it that first day.

I'm with you on the Sci-Fi Dine In. We have been eating there since I was 8 (a whole 14 years ago). I MUST eat there at least once (but preferably more) a trip.

Also, I think you will LOVE the Lights! Motors! Acrtion! show.... it is AWESOME!!!! I am not one for that type of thing, but I LOVED it! I would have done it again because I missed so much trying to snap pictures every 5 seconds! Have fun! :wave2:

Definitely, The Voyage of the Little Mermaid! It is a great show. I'd skip Playhouse Disney-crowded, hard to see, and boring.

NB

Fantasmic
Tower of Terror
Rock n' Roller Coaster
Great Movie Ride
Backlot Tour
Who Wants to be a Millionaire
Muppet Vision
Star Tours

And of course we can't miss lunch/dinner at 50's Prime Time.

When we go to WDW we'll be staying at the Ft.Wilderness in a cabin. Give us a trip report when you come back :flower:

I think of the two headliners of course...

ToT
RnR

I also enjoy Beauty and the beast, little mermaid and FAntasmic.

well my DS#1 would go for TOT and RnR along with myself

after riding those rides we join the rest of the gang and we all really enjoy star tours, muppetvision 3D. TGMR, WWTBAM and the Backlot Tour

It has to be Tower of Terror. The best attraction at any park ever. Never gets boring no matter how many times you ride.

Rock n Roller Coaster is pretty good too, nice powered launch but the excitment wanes on subsequent rides. I could spend a morning just alternating between ToT and RnR.

Millionaire is really good fun. Better fun if you're a trivia nut and are competitive.

Muppets is excellent, this and Shrek are my favourite 4D cinema attractions.

Sounds Dangerous is great, unique and original and very entertaining.

Brown Derby, fantastic restaurant, very very authentic with great food and service.

Fantasmic, breathtaking, does everything right and ticks all the Disney boxes. A great way to end the day at MGM

Star Tours is ok but getting old. Indy Jones and Beauty are good shows but theres not much repeat view value. Mermaid is way too short, too much of the story had been removed. The Great Movie Ride is ok, nothing spectacular tho. Stunt Show and Backlot tour are very disapointing; stunt show is just dull, no suspense or surprise, and the backlot tour just doesnt have enough content. Calamity Canyon is way better than Earthquake at US tho.

Can't stand Sounds Dangerous.

Everything else is fine, but our very favorites are RNR, TOT, Muppets, Star Tours and Millionaire.

RnR, RnR, RnR, RnR ----
Star Tours
Muppets
Indy
new stunt show

:)

Star Tours
Muppets 4-D
Rock 'N' Roller Coaster
Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular
The Great Movie Ride
