Ooh, definitely mulled wine - the Swedish variety (i.e. strong) with raisins and blanched almonds...mmmmmmm... After Christmas I'll go back to just plain ol' wine again.

Neither DH nor I are big drinkers but DH LOVES 'Smarties' and I'm ashamed to admit I'm an alcopops girl (Orange Bacardi Breezer for me). The 'Smarties' are really nice but after one I start to feel sick.

DH and I don't drink that much either but when it does get to christmas we do go though a couple bottles of Mailbu, we mix this with Coke or pineapple. We also get a bottle of Blu Bols in that lovely mixed with orange, Lemonade. We also like Amaretto mixed with apple juice. ( all drinks we used to drink in the german bars when we lived over there )

I think Smarties is something like Tia Maria, Vodka and Orange juice, Well that how we used to make it and its lovely

Sue - you have forgotten the vodka!! My snowballs always have vodka in too

and a cocktail cherry as well.

I always like Bailey's, Sheridan's, snowballs, Babycham at Xmas. Don't touch them the rest of the year, but got to have them over the festive period

Sorry, I should have said - I thought they were well known but DH tells me it is his made-up name for them. Tia Maria and OJ mixed together - tastes just like orange Smarties, hence the name

mine isn't just christmas but all year round i love southern comfort mixed with jack daniels and a dash of lemonade infact that reminds me!!!
