Looking for ideas for our upcoming trip!

I have a HP Butterbeer mug, but might pick up another, or a Hog's Head one. Going to bring stamps to send a postcard by owl post... Always on the look out for pressed penny machines!! Need to find a nice magnet....

Other fun, fairly inexpensive souvenir ideas? I'm leaning towards a sweatshirt this time...

The only things I buy at Universal each and every year are from Halloween Horror Nights. Each year I purchase the annual t-shirt, lanyard and tall shot glass...then I'm done for another year.

me too....... ::yes::

We do a coffee mug for any trip we go on, there is a fun mischief managed one in WWOHP . I like getting something I'll actually use. Every morning when I get my morning coffee I get to look at all the fun trips we have been on :)

I love my IOA keychain and my HP stuff (Hufflepuff sweater+tie+scarf, wands, time-turner, lanyard, keychain, mug, journal, banner...). We've picked up some cute Christmas ornaments in Port of Entry. They also have been selling really nice Universal merch for the 100th anniversary, very high end looking journals, watches, and pens. I think one of those will be my next purchase.

I spend way too much money there

One of my favourite HP souvenirs I got was the Time Turner keychain. I wore it on a long chain (as a necklace) with my Halloween costume and got so many comments! I believe it was about $15, but totally worth it!

My favorite (too expensive) souvenir is the Marauder's Map replica. It folds out about a million times and is on proud display over a bookshelf in our 'theme park' themed office.

I also love my wand and some old felt Ravenclaw banners.

For non-HP, we love getting cans of Duff at the Kwik-E-Mart!

1. a jeep plush

2. a mini (keychain) rocky flying squirrel

3. thing 1 shirt for our pug & thing 2 shirt that I gave to my former son inlaw's new baby,, the pug was actually his dog , but we wouldn't let him leave with her ( we were too attached) ... ( yes we still like our 'former's)

<I gave the new spouse a frame with skyes picture in it & space to put the new baby in it with his shirt on>:rotfl2:

Those are fantastic pictures!! Thank you for sharing!

When I went to US for a conference 5 years ago, I got our then baby son a thing 1 onsie! Love those shirts!! I still have it too.

The timeturner sounds fun, and I've toyed with the idea of picking up a scarf.

Oh my goodness! What a cutie! I am so sorry to hear that she has passed on.

We have a pug named Buddha and I think that get-up is on my list!! ::yes::

Mainly I go for the HHN merchandise as well.

Right now, I like peppermint toads a lot. :) I've got quite the stock of them at my house right now. :p

I'm a big coffee person so I'm a big coffee mug souvy person. My favorite is one I don't think they even have anymore, why I don't know but its a black mug with the original Jurassic Park logo on it. YOu used to could get these in JP but last few times I was there I didn't see any. They are kind of hard to find now, although ebay will have them every once in a while.

The scarves are actually quite nice. We bought them out of desperation back in December 2010, but they have served us well.

NOTE: if you are not a Steelers fan, you might steer clear of the Hufflepuff scarf. DH has felt quite uncomfortable wearing his bright yellow and black scarf during football season.

Anyway, they are on the high side, and if you have someone in your life who knits they will give you trouble for *buying* a scarf, but they are nice and warm.

I like the butterbeer mugs more than my Hog's Head mug. The HH mug is just a little too big for my hands, and it makes it too heavy. Just a touch too heavy.

DH picked up a Hogwarts themed passport holder in the same place as the owl post. He LOVES that thing.

We buy chocolate frogs, and use the container as decoration and to hold little things. The chocolate is terrible, but the container is lovely. And we bought a container of bertie botts beans, gave the jelly bellies away (ingredient problems), and we refill the container with safe jellybeans to have around. Just little reminders everywhere of our fun times there.

OH and they have mini-pins from the 4 houses and one for Hogwarts in general, too. (or they did last year) Check the pin card carefully, to make sure you have the right pins. Someone had done some creative rearranging of pins with my card, and when I was doing absolute last-minute shopping and went to grab the pins that I had already checked out, I didn't look carefully, and found when we got all the way home that I had two Slytherins and another one missing. Universal was LOVELY to deal with in getting them replaced, absolutely fabulous and in no time at all, but it's best to not have to deal with that in the first place. :) Anyway, they are adorable little pins.

There are always two things we get when we visit any place (three if we find one we really like). The first is a hat pin that goes on my backpack that we take everywhere we go...

The second thing we get is a magnet to go on a magnetic message board we have above our big computer...

The third one...sometimes...is a key chain that hangs off the backpack. We get one of these if we cant find a hat pin or if we find one we have just GOT to have...

All three are fairly inexpensive. We sometimes gets a t-shirt if we see one we really like. Or some little doo-dad that we really dont need but looks cool...

The candy shop in Seuss Landing used to carry gummy fried eggs.. they were awesome. They haven't had them in years (not that I've seen), but my mom surprised me for Christmas with a big jar of them she got somewhere else...
Beyond that, we aren't big souvenir people.. I take 1000 pictures and that's enough for me,lol
