and why?

We've been to WDW in July, September, October, (early) December, February and April.

Our favorite is by far early December. The weather...the Christmas decorations...low crowds...it was all over awesome. ::yes::

But we're looking at other times to visit. I have a big birthday coming up in January (a milestone...not saying which :rolleyes1), a big anniversary in May and family that would like to go during Christmas week :scared1:.

So I'm looking for input into your favorite time of year to visit and why.

Thanks in advance!

Mid-November (like the week or so before Thanksgiving) is my favorite time to go. Generally, the weather is beautiful, and the crowd level is on the lower side. :goodvibes

Dec 3-10 was VERY low crowds, after POP Warner and our last trip Dec. 17-24 was great too, perfect weather and low crowds with beautiful Christmas decorations soooo YES Dec. is our favorite month : ) I cannot imagine going in the summer humidity and dealing with the crowds.

We've been mid-March, early May, late September, and the week before Thanksgiving in November.

Mid-March was a while ago now, but I remember it being cold enough for hoodies which may be out of the ordinary but goes to how the weather can vary that time of year. Same would go for January, which has a higher probability for straight up cold weather. Even the possibility for winter coats. January also has shorter park hours, shorter daylight, and highest chance for refurbishments.

Early May was great - fairly low crowds, perfect weather (maybe a tad on the warm side for us). As long as you plan your week strategically so that you are late enough to miss Easter/Spring Break and early enough to miss the kids just out of school, I think this is a great time.

September was too hot for us. We loved November even though the weather got a little cool and rainy. We're doing the the week before Thanksgiving again this week.

Early December for me too! I love Christmas time & the décor. 2nd favorite would be Halloween time.

I love mid January for the cool weather and low crowds. I would love to visit in December so I could have the decorations, but I work retail so it's difficult for me to take any time off post Black Friday. Typically I get a free paid vacation after the Holidays so I will go to Disney in January or February. :)

I haven't been the Disneyworld since before the Animal Kingdom was built. (Yes, I'm old... ) But I've always wanted to go around Halloween time.

Early May. Nice and hot but pre-summer crowd. Used to love Oct for weather, but not a fan of time of year otherwise.

I maybe be one of the few ones but we love to go on February during President's week, and during Christmas vacation. I know these are peak seasons but we love the weather and the decorations. For February is great because of the topiaries for the spring season.

Mid to late February, at least passed Valentine's Day. The weather and warm temperatures are just hot enough for us and it breaks up the hum drum months of winter and snow (even though I do love snow).

We've been in Early March, late April, late August, late September, and December 15 to 24th.

Loved the December trip. Low crowds, the decorations are amazing, cooler weather.

August was way too hot, and that takes a lot to say from a family who lives near Houston.

September would have been nice, but it rained for hours everyday we we're there. Plus we had to deal with numerous rude cast members.

Our favorite is the week before Thanksgiving. Low crowds, still warm enough to swim, Christmas decorations are up. Best week of the year! :goodvibes

Went as a teen during February vacation.... while I remember having a great time, the biggest memory was waiting in lines.

As an adult, I've always planned our trips around non-peak season.... just can't see paying top price to stand in 1-2 hour lines or run to each attraction trying to beat the crowds. We manage to get to WDW about every 5 years so not sure if the crowds now are what they were when we went then...

Week of October 8th - our Anniversary - again low crowds. My kids are very spoiled in the fact that they don't understand when we go to our local Six Flags, they just can't understand standing in a line. Again free dining and we did the Halloween party (MNSCHP) which was a blast and a different experience. The kids were only 4 & 5 so they had sooo much fun trick or treating in WDW... brought home a full kids size suitcase full of candy from that night! :crazy2:

1st week of September - generally all kids are in school by now so crowds were low... so low in fact that we were able to ride Splash mountain 3x in under 10 minutes :thumbsup2 Also had free dining during this time so double bonus!

This year I am planning a trip for 11/12-11/22. We're upgrading to a Mod resort for the 1st time and I'm super excited to see WDW decorated for Christmas time. The kids are older now (12 & 13) so I'm actually planning this trip in between sports - after football season for my son. Reportedly still low crowds before the Thanksgiving week ;)

I will never go during the summer - too hot, too humid, lines too long. I can deal with beaches & heat here at home. Other than that I'd like to be able to enjoy the pools - I guess December/January would be iffy months just because of that but I wouldn't say no to a trip to the world either :flower3:

My favorite time has been mid-may... decent crowds and nice weather. It doesn't hurt that my birthday is mid-may also ;);)

This year we are trying September... we'll see how it goes :goodvibes

we've been every month too, and for the past 5 years we've gone the week after thanksgiving and like most have said, you can't beat the Christmas décor and temps, low crowds. this year we are also going 11/14-11/22 because of the free dining offers so I'm excited that we will still see the Christmas décor this year, I also love bringing our little Disney xmas tree for our room too! we've been in aug/sept and it is soooooo hot but if you prepare for the heat it is manageable and it is still Disney!!!!
