So what's your favorite "shopping place" in the Fort, the Meadow Trading Post or the Settlement Trading Post?

Feel free to explain why :)

Meadows has a much better selection and is more convenient to my loop.

The fireplace, the little porch that goes all the way around, the view of the pond (when it has water in it). The Settlement is the 7-11 of Fort Wilderness (sorry Settlement).

The Meadow T.P has a much better selection of souveniers and collectibles.

I do have to say though that the CM's at the S.T.P were more generous with the DDP snacks. They let us have anything under $4. :thumbsup2

This is like asking me to chose between my kids...While they both offer mostly the same items, each one is different and special in its own way.........ok ok, I spend a lot of time and money at both, Meadows ,might have a slight edge, slight I said ...pirate:

I found a lot more food items at the Settlement than I did at the Meadows. I don't think they're exactly the same at all. Meadows has a lot of stuff on the camping supply aisle that the Settlement doesn't carry. I don't think the Settlement had coffee either.

The meadow is closer to the loops we stay in, so that is where we go. I don't think that I've ever even been in the settlement.

I like that we can park at the Meadows. I did think it also had more camping specific items as well. I spent a lot of money our last day there last trip.

One thing that I couldn't find anywhere was a pencil sharpener. Went to both and they did not have one. I had brought my Sudoku book and a pencil, but forgot a sharpener. Won't do that again. LOL

Meadows for food and camping items and Settlement for the feel of Disney!:cool1:

Have to go with the meadows on this one. Nice and close and DD and DW can ride their bikes up there.

Plus waking up and walking over from 900 to get that free coffee in the refillable mug (that we use over and over :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: ) is awesome!

Why walk ......I let my underage daughter drive our private cart ...with our yellow lab in the back ...while I smoke and refill our mugs on our way to pool hop........:rotfl:

While..checking your fast passes from a month ago seeing what rides you can ride? :rolleyes1

I'm personally a fan of the Meadows, for pretty much the same reasons as everyone else listed. Larger selection, better atmosphere, feels more "country". Settlement is better for food/drink purchases I've found, and we still go to both every time.

Plus it's always fun trying to find parking at the Meadows trading post during the busy times...lol

Have you ever walked into the settlement in a bathing suit and found yourself among people dressed for dinner. It's happened to me a one too many times. My favorite is the meadows, it has a better selection for us campers.
