We live in SW Florida and go fishing in the Gulf nearly every weekend. It's the only thing that keeps us from getting fried. I know they say that nothing works above 30 or 36 SPF any better, so that might be something to consider, too. It's about $7-8 at Walmart, but any time I find it cheaper, I buy them out!
I actually like Ocean Potion (I think that's what it's called.) It doesn't sem greasy to me and I love the fact that it doesn't smell like sunscreen if you KWIM. I always use SPF 30 or 50 depending on what I can find. Just thinking about the sun makes me burn.
Another vote for Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch. I can't stand the feel of greasy sunblock and this really does dry and feel like you're wearing nothing.
I am a woman of color and was wondering what number should I purchase? We have dark skin. One year while visiting in Jamaica I applied sunscreen all over son since he loves to swim and snorkel...Lord behold he was white all day long. It took me forever to get the sunscreen off. Didn't realized I purchase suncreen with ZINC...I love neutrogenia products

We use this as well as the Neutrogena Sensitive Skin and Oil Free.
I used Coppertone Sport too, except on DS who has to use sensitive skin products. Then last Monday I slathered myself in it and am now dealing with an allergic reaction. I was itching for 2 days until my Dr concluded it was likely the sunscreen. I'm on allergy meds until the itching dies down. The lesson here: whatever you buy, try it before a trip AND take more than one kind because you never know when something will start to irritate you.
