What's your favorite restaurant in WDW?

I fell in love with Le Cellier in Epcot....I cannot wait to taste that steak one more time. The best part is they have Moosehead there too! Yum (salivating...)

I had answered earlier on this topic about O'hana's being my favourite restaurant, and it still is...but I need some info re the restaurants at the Grand Floridian. Our trip has changed slightly and I will be staying a few extra days and my DD Katdb is now coming down for 5 days and 4 nights and wants to go to O'hana's while she is with us. so now I have a problem of where do go to have supper on my Birthday. ( I know, I know,...this is not a problem , just a fun decision maker :rolleyes1 , but I still need help!!)
As I love the GF at Christmas time I am thinking of eating there but I need to know whether to do the sit down restaurant or the buffet. Or is there anywhere else that might be better for my 39th ( plus some months  birthday)? Any help appreciated...cause I want my :cake: and eat it too!! :earseek: Thanks,
Wenabre

Well I have to try Ohana's because now I have heard so much about it! We like the 50's PT also and I would like to recommend the Sci Fi Diner. We only discovered it on last trip after reading on the boards. The food is okay (not super fine dining of course!) but it is the atmosphere that is so amazing. I couldn't believe that I hadn't heard of it before. If you don't go to eat then just walk in to see it. It is modelled after a 50's drive in theatre. It is dark and there is a starry sky above with an authentic drive in screen running B grade sci-fi flicks (an hour's worth). They even have the dancing hotdogs! You are all eating in replica '57 chevy's and the servers are on roller skates I think. The cars are really neat. I had a great big drink and it came with glow in the dark ice cubes. Worth a peek for sure!

Our families favourite would be Chef Mickeys and for just my wife and I it would be Le Cellier. We also really like H&V and 50's Prime time at MGM.

I am kind of surprised that no body has mentioned, or at least not that I saw, the Flame Tree Grill in AK. We went there and loved it. The smell of that place as you walk by is great. While it is counter service, the food is pretty good. We got chicken sandwiches that were among the best that I have ever had, and I love that the entrees come with beans and corn. The ribs looked really good too.

Also among my fav's is Casperillos (sp?) at the Grand Floridian. It is another counter service place, but believe me, I think this place has the best burger's in the whole kingdom. :jumping4:

We loved loved LOVED Boma. We ate there about 4 times in 5 days. We also liked Alfredo's, Chef Mickey's (mostly for atomosphere) and Mama Melrose. :) Have fun!

Here's a few that I don't think have been mentioned but are spectacular...

1. 1900 Park Fare - (inside the Grand Floridian) -probably the highest quality buffet in WDW and the Cinderella/Peter Pan characters were there on our night there.

2. Amerkush (or something similiar) at Norway in EPCOT...and this is a real sleeper (no one seems to know about this place) ...great food and best value in WDW...it's the only time I've ever seen unlimited a la carte (as opposed to buffet) menu items brought to you with no add'l charge. All seafood and chicken dishes were amazing!

Agreed, there's nothing like Chef Mickey's for atmosphere and BOMA is very unique and a great experience.

Wouldn't go back to Ohana's Breakfast (very plain), or Le Cellier -there's much better steak at Shula's.

Like so many others, The 50s PTC.

I enjoyed L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante.

Although it's long-gone, I liked The Fireworks Factory at PI.

I am surprised no one mentioned Momma Melrose in MGM. We went there as part of a Fatasmic Dinner Package and it was great. We also ate at Hollywood and Vine once which was pretty good for a buffet.

Counter service is all very similar but I would agree that Flame Tree Grill in AK is something special. There seems to be lots of seating and the way it is laid-out it is pretty quiet.

I had a great burger at Peco’s Bill one night in Adventure land. We skipped supper and were waiting for the 2nd SpectroMagic Parade, it was very quite on the street in front of liberty square so we took our trays and went outside to watch the parade.

Cheers
Ed

Hi Everyone,

I started this thread looking for idea's for dining and was really happy to see all the replies.

From all your suggestions posted to this thread, I have made some PS reservations for our trip Feb 26th to Mar 5th 2005.

Feb 27th - Ohana - 7:40pm (hopefully to catch "Wishes")
Feb 28th - Biergarten, Epcot (my kids and I really wanted to go here)
Mar 2nd - 50's Prime Time Cafe
Mar 4th - Boma (Nice finale, before heading for home on Mar 5th :0(

Also considering Chef Mickeys (just trying to decide which day)

Thanks again for all you help. Now that the PS's are done, it makes the trip just that little bit closer.
