We'll be going in mid-December (and I'm having fun planning now, while the snow's still on the ground!). We'll be staying at the RPR.

My son is hypoglycemic, so he can't live on a diet of french fries and ice cream or we'll find him passed out cold in the middle of the parks (which would be entertaining, but not in a good way...). He needs to eat low-carb, low-sugar meals, but on the other hand, he's going to get pretty cranky if all we can find for him all week is McDonald's-style chicken salads.

So I'm curious to know what people's favorite restaurants are, what meals you'd recommend, and also which restaurants you consider to be the best deal for your money.

Thanks! :wizard:

I thought Mythos was really great - good food and a great value. I was skeptical that it would be quite as good as the reviews here say it is, but they are spot-on in saying Mythos is a great restaurant.

I also love Thunder Falls Terrace (?) - the Jurassic Park restaurant. They have really good food - grilled chicken and ribs, a really fab salad, corn, just very tasty food overall.

Edited to add: we stopped at the International Food Festival (?) back in December b/c DH was hungry and had a laugh at their pizza - it looked like an unfolded napkin with cheese melted on it.

Here are my favorites:

IOA - Thunder Falls Terrace, Mythos and Comic Strip Cafe.

Studios - Louie's and Finnegan's.

Mythos.

And I believe if you inform them of your son's dietary restrictions, they can whip something special up for him. They're awesome with requests.

My favs are in City Walk mostly, Margaritaville, Latin Quarter, and NBA cafe has a Margherita pizza that is super yummy!

Mythos and Sal's Deli (at the Portofino Bay Hotel).

Finnegans and Mythos is our favorites in the park. Circus McGurkus was one of the worst mistakes we made eating this weekend. :headache:

Do not often eat in the park, but Finnegans is excellent.
Staying at RPR and prob our 2nd fav place to eat when on vacation is The Islands.

It's Mythos. Everyone else is playing for second place.

Finnigan's is pub style, quite good. Hard Rock Cafe if your into rock & roll memorabilia. They have some amazing stuff (a revolving pink cadilac over the bar!)
