We're heading to DL in early July, and we'd like to do one nice dinner. It will be my husband, myself, our 2 year old daughter, our 18 yo daughter her boyfriend, and my 20 yo nephew.

Don't want to do Goofy's Kitchen, because we did that last time, my 2 yo didn't like the characters close-up so Goofy's was a waste since she got upset every time the characters got too close.

Well althought I would have said the Blue Bayou because my last experience wasnt too bad, my vote no longer goes there. I went last tuesday for lunch and I found a LONG BLACK HAIR (im blondish) in my meal, and there was no appology, no new meal brought and no money taken off our bill, the meal was cold and the service terrible. It we got our meal before our drinks and we had to ask for the bread.

But since I love that area my vote would go to Cafe Orleans if you can sit outside and enjoy a wonderful monte cristo

Or the Wine Country Trattoria mmmmm delicious

We were really considering Blue Bayou, but, yuck! A hair that's bad!! :scared:

Yeah I really dont want to complain as others love the Blue Bayou, but I just think that theres obviously a lack of hygenics if thats the case.

I was not impressed with Blue Bayou either. What about somewhere in DTD? Rainforest Cafe and Ralph Brennan's are both highly rated by other dissers. If you are wanting to stay in the park, then the only other table service restaurant for dinner is Cafe Orleans.

Great link! Thanks! :thumbsup2

It's really a shame about the Blue Bayou though. We count on Disney for better than that. Especially, for the price BB charges for meals. I'd seriously write Disney a letter about your bad experience, and see what they would do for you.

Ive been thinking about it and only because like your said for our meals it was over $100 :confused3

Oh my gosh! Please write Disney a letter.. that just gives me chills...

For in the Dland, I would suggest Cafe Orleans. :thumbsup2

For DCA, I would suggest Wine Country Trattoria. :thumbsup2

For DTD, I would suggest Jazz Kitchen (they have a great kids menu!)or ESPN Zone (also, decent kids menu), or even Naples.

Personally I don't like Rainforest Cafe with little children. My DD freaked out when she was about 2yo when the rain and the animals started going off. It was a miserable time and the food was awful. JMO.

HTH!

We really like both Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland, as well as Redd Rockett's Pizza Port in Tomorrowland. Our picky 3yo eats really well at the latter.

Whitewater Snacks at the Grand Californian! Good food, good service, free refills on drinks, and it's never crowded!

How big are the pizza slices at Pizza Port? I see they're $5 a slice so I imagine they're a pretty good size. Also is it like a thin style crust or more like a thick pan style crust?

Well I was going to vote for Blue Bayou..but ESPN Zone is my new vote. We went in December during football games and had the best time!

They are big! I generally ask them to cut the piece in half, its so big its hard to pick up, esp. for my dd. It comes out on this wedge shaped plate. And its always been a thick crust style when I have gotten pizza there. For my family of four, we generally get one slice of pizza, one order of pasta and a kids meal. And can't usually finish it all. Although this year, my son is 12 and he eats a lot so our plan may change a bit!

We like the Hungry Bear in Disneyland. My favorite in DCA is the place that has the bread bowls and yummy chicken apple salad, its in the pier area, can't remember the name of it, to lazy to look it up right now. It's right across from where you can get a magaritta, which was also yummy!

Thanks for the info, btw do you know if the pizza place in DCA sells the same kind of pizza since the price is the same.

We love Pizza Port, Riverbelle Terrace and I know there are many negative reviews about the Tomorrowland Terrace but, we love it. We have always had good service and good food from there.
