We're coming down for my mother-in-law's 60th birthday in October, and I want to arrange some sort of special celebration for her. So what are your favorite ways to celebrate a big event? World of Color dinner package? Blue Bayou? Fantasmic dessert party? Or something else? What do you all suggest?

Dinner at Napa Rose if you can swing it and are looking for a dining experience. It is great!!!!

just did Napa Rose over Memorial Day weekend. Chef's counter is totally worth it as a one time dining experience! Personally, I wouldn't do the whole shebang more than once as it was REALLY expensive, but if you're able to do it, go for it.

We did it in May and December and will find an excuse to return when we go back in February. My family loves it that much, even my younger kids, and especially my parents!

Napa Rose sounds awesome, especially the chef's table!
Unfortunately, I don't think that will be an option for us, mostly because we'll have DD3 with us. She's pretty good at meals (on a cruise in January she did great in the main dining room) but something like that is probably a bit too much for her. So any suggestions that work for the whole family, which is me, DH, DD3, sis-in-law 25, and the birthday girl, 60.

Have you thought about doing something for just her like a spa appointment at the Grand Californian?

If you want to get the family involved, a fun place is the Blue Bayou. It's cool if you can sit by the water and see the boats go by. Or if you think a character meal might be fun, I suggest Goofy kitchen at the Disneyland hotel. We went there for my moms 50th and the interaction was incredible, plus Princess Aurora came up with a cupcake and sang happy Birthday. It was really special.

Or a princess meal at Ariel's grotto. Get your mom a tiara and have a girly afternoon or dinner. Fun for your daughter too.

Or the rainforest cafe in downtown Disney is a blast. Especially when you recommend sitting upstairs with the animals. Fun for the whole family.
