What is your favorite not to be missed live entertainment (street performers) at the parks? I heard the acrobats in China (epcot) are very good.

39 days to go!

British Invasion. They are in the back of the England Pavilion. They perform several times late afternoon and early evening and sound just like the Beatles.

I really like Off Kilter in Canada-they are tremendous entertainers. The "chair act" in France is very good although it makes me nervous to watch. :)

I love the Streetmosphere folks at MGM. And I really miss the Living Statues in Epcot.

on our last trip we were walking through china and just by chance the acrobats were starting.
their show was really good, the acrobats were very talented :)

return to zero- aka 4 for a dollar!

It's a toss-up between Off Kilter and British Invasion, with Mo' Rocking' running a close second (all in Epcot).

Would like to see more musical entertainment at the other parks, too! DH and I saw a great group of limbo-dancing acrobats at the bar in AK earlier this year--they were real crowd pleasers but don't seem to be there anymore.

Off Kilter inside the park

and

Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk :dance3:

See I never really saw any performers on the streets of MGM.

The only time I saw 2 actors it was because it was raining and they came in the same store I was.

I'll agree with the Streetmosphere as my favorite. But they're followed closely by World Showcase players in UK, Epcot; Tomorrowland Countdown in MK; Jammiters in FW, Epcot; Voices of Liberty in WS, Epcot; sadly, others I loved have gone-Future Corps, Main Street Marching Band, Gabrielle Huntington the Starlet (MGM Streetmosphere), American Vybe.

Off Kilter!!!

Followed by Bob the piano guy over at POR.

Then British Invasion.

I actually didn't like the Chinese acrobats. They seemed to be extremely young to me and I was put off by the amount of training and them being uprooted to perform at EPCOT. I'd rather they had adult acrobats. :confused3

Streetmosphere Performers in MGM.

And sadly, Masquerade, Roland, and the Living Statues are all gone from Epcot. :(

I love both Off Kilter (Canada) and Four for a Dollar (Beauty and the Beast show).

I returned from WDW 2 weeks ago, and the 2 days I was at Epcot, Jamie - the bagpipe player in Off Kilter - wasn't there. Now I've seen subs for everyone else in the band, but didn't think the show could go on without Jamie! However, Jason (an actual Canadian!) played the fiddle, and he was fabulous! If I had never seen Off Kilter and didn't know that someone played the bagpipes, they never would've been missed. THAT'S how great Jason's fiddle playing was. :)

At Epcot I would have to say I liked Off Kilter. In May my DH was in an ECV and we took time out to sit and watch them and they are great. Glad to hear they can still perform without Jamie but he is great.

I cought Bob at POR this last trip - I think he was great even though I didn't see very much (DH was up in room after a long day)

At MK I like The Dapper Dans - in March 2004 they sang happy bday to my niece when we went for her bday.

Hope you enjoy!!

I feel exactly the same way. I don't watch them anymore because I feel sorry for them. :guilty:

DH and I think Jason is great, too! We saw Off Kilter earlier this year without Jamie the bagpipe player, too, and while we really missed him (he is very entertaining!), the band does a great job without him.

Jason is also a wonderful mandolin player--he used to play in Alberta Bound (another band that used to play in the Canadian pavillion) and since DH plays mandolin, too, we both remember him.

I used to love the performers in Italy, they used to wear the Venetian masks, black and gold costumes and they used to do a show to the song "con te partiro" Andrea Boccelli sings the same song. They have been gone for a couple of years now :sad2:
