Anything as long as it doesn't have hot sauce.... but on the other hand, not too bland, either... :sunny: .

Thanks,
Lois

Ill give you the recipe I learned from my mother. Its really pretty simple.

Hard boil eggs, then cool.

Cut in half lengthwise and scrape out the middles.

Mash the middles, add chopped sweet gherkin pickels then add mayo until moist.

Stuff the whites

Top with paprika(optional)

Prepare the eggs as you normally would for deviled eggs. I mix finely chopped dill pickles, onions into the mixture. I then add mayo and mustard (yellow) to the mixture and then stuff the eggs.

Mash the yolks & combine with a dressing made of mayo, wine vinegar, sugar or splenda, prepared brown mustard (Gulden's), dry mustard (opt) & celery powder. Sprinkle stuffed eggs with paprika.

I've never heard of putting pickles in them. Sounds good. ;)

I make mine with stone ground mustard, mayo and yolk. Season to taste then stuff in shells. The stone ground mustard kinda adds a punch to the eggs.

I've always made mine just as Camcolt described and they are very good. For some reason, I never think of making deviled eggs. Sounds good.

12 Hard Cooked Eggs
4 teaspoons Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Dry Mustard
6 to 8 teaspoons Vinegar
2 tablespoons Butter, softened
1 teaspoon dry Onion
1/2 teaspoon dry Garlic
2 tablespoon Mayonaise

Slice eggs & scoop out yolks. Mix all ingredients with yolks & then stuff eggs. Chill & serve!

Wow, you guys have a lot more complicated recipes than I use.

6 hard boiled eggs
1/4 C garden vegetable cream cheese
3 T mayo
Salt and Pepper to taste

Chop yolks and mix cream cheese, mayo and salt and pepper if needed. Spoon into egg whites. Garnish with fresh herbs or grape tomatoes cut in half.

Thanks so much all!! DDs confirmation is tomorrow and we're having a little lunch here after church. I was thinking it might be just a little something extra.

Thanks and have a great day!!

Mine recipe is a bit different ... I use Kraft Miracle Whip instead of mayo

boil the eggs

mash the yolks with Miracle Whip and mustard (to taste) ... stuff back into the egg white, then sprinkle paprika on top ... yummmm!!!

You mean there's another kind of mayo???? :earseek: :earseek:

;) That's all we ever use - or maybe a generic version. I don't really care for "real" mayo.

I make mine with a little bit of miracle whip and a little mayo.

I use only Miracle whip in my deviled and I am told they are the best.....Never any leftovers.

Make eggs and cut lengthwise like any other deviled recipe, mash the eggs yolks and then put them in the mixer mix a little then add:
Miracle whip (absolutely no substitutions here), about 1 tablespoon of French's yellow mustard ( another must, no substitutions) to about 6 eggs, a teaspoon of worchestershire (OK I can't spell it) sauce and then taste for salt and pepper because the WSauce is salty enough sometimes you do not need salt.
Then fill the half egg whites and sprinkle paprika over the top.

Not too fancy or time consuming and everyone will love them.
