PP's have mentioned Christmas Tree Shoppe...just wondering if they only sell Christmas items or other things as well.

Actaully they only sell Christmas stuff around the holidays. They carry merchandise from Cape Cod Crafters, brand name small appliances, gourmet foods, dishes, househlditems, gift wrap, cards,toys, gardening and patio items, luggage, bedding, pet stuff, books and so much more. You really never know what you will find but I never leave empty handed. For example last week I got a lobster pot,lobster plates,cloth napkins,bibs,butter cups,lobster lollipops,cracking sets,oven mits for a gift for Dad. I also found gardening gloves for 1.00/pair, 4th of July decorations,plates,cups etc 1.00 each package (24 piece) and sunglasses 1.99 per pair.

I also love Dollar Tree but another good one is Bealls Outlet. With their clearance color stickers, sometimes you can get really nice stuff for just pennies. I can go there every time I am searching for something... it may not be the BEST quality, but it does the job for what I am looking for and what I need it for.

Useless examples of what I mean because i'm bored-

My daughter's sneakers fell apart like 4 weeks before school ended. I didn't want to buy another pair of good sneakers because they never wear them during the summer and are sure to be a size bigger in Fall. So I go to Bealls Outlet and found her a nice pair, regular price $29.99, Bealls price $12.99 and a colored sticker for 80% off so I paid $2.59 for them! I needed a robe before we went to Ireland. I found a really nice terry cloth one, reg. price $49.99, Bealls price $19.99 and a colored sticker for 95% off so I paid .99 cents for it! Their regular not clearance prices are good too. I had an outfit I wore to a Wedding and needed champane colored flats. I found champaine everywhere but they were all heels. Found what I needed at Bealls Outlet, they were a brand they sell at Nordstroms for $80 and they were $9.99 at Bealls.

I wish we had a Bealls. My parents go to FL every winter and Mom gets some pretty terrific bargains there.

Thanks for the info snowwite! It sounds like a fun place to bargain hunt-I'll have to see if we have any around here. I love Dollar Tree but I'm always looking for another place to shop for deals!

Definatley Christmas Tree Shops - even though it is 1 1/2 hours away, and we have to travel over two bridges to get there - it is THE best store.

Big Lots

You never know what you'll find there. I've bought school supplies, a park bench, scrapbooking supplies and fun holiday decorations at Big Lots.

I wish there was a Christmas Tree Shoppe in our area. I've never heard of it but it sounds like my kind of store!

I like to hit Dollar General. They usually sell name brand products for less than the everyday price at the normal stores. They usually have pepsi for .99 a 2 liter everyday. I also like to go to Aldi to stock up on groceries.
