What's your Fave to do in Ursula's grotto?

I am so mad we didn't do any of the singing! That one would have been awesome. We tried to act out 2 scenes (Belle & the Beast/Jafar & Iago). That was such a blast. Got video of one of 'em.

We let the girls do this part of it, they just like to sing. Usually it's the unbday song. lol DBF and I did it one, we did the Bambi scene. LOL "He can call me Flower, if he wants to" LOL

I know huh? There are tons that I can do at DCA and not run out of things to do. I love the animation building. I know we spend tons of time in there alone. We can do the Beast's Library over and over just to get different characters.

We like the acting parts with Ursula's Grotto best. It's fun to do the same one over and over so you get you voices exact to what the characters are doing.

I do like singing Hakuna Matata though!

I also like how Ursula's hand comes up all skinny and gross and counts 3... 2... 1...

Okay....I am out of touch....in the Animation building? I only go in there for the Zoetrope and, well, a nap.

I SOOO agree with you and Judy! Whenever anyone shrugs off DCA and say they can do it in like half a day, I am sometimes shocked ! How is that possible when there is sooo much to do in the Animation Building alone? We spent a good 30 minutes in Ursula's Grotto and Beast's Library. Afterward we watched zoetrope and learned how to draw characters. Its amazing what people don't know about that wonderful place.

The last time we were there, I sang Hakuna Matata and my other cousins acted out Belle & the Beast =)

So, to re-cap for the new planners, in the animation building you can
1. Watch the movie loop
2. Watch the zeotrope
3. Visit with Crush
4. Visit with the animator
5. Play in the Beasts library
6. Play in Ursulas grotto

this could take 2 hrs!If you wanted to fit it all in at one time (and not a bad plan for the middle of a hot summer day) and you would still have all of DCA left to explore.

I went in there for the first time this Jan. with my sister. We tried several acting parts but it didn't record our voices so we just left. It didn't seem to be working.

7. There is a room before the library where you spin the dials on the wall to see a character move.
8. Look at the maquettes and other artifacts next to the zeotrope.

Boy, all of this sounds great!! Gee, I thought we would spend just 3-4 hours at DCA like we did last time because there wasn't much that interested us. This time will definitely be different!! Can't wait to see all of the changes including the ones in progress.

Oh man, it's so easy for us to spend 2-4 hrs JUST in the Animation Building. We can just go in and out of the Animation Academy and be perfectly happy. I have a feeling on our Mem. weekend trip we will spend a lot of time in the Animation Bldg. lol Love it in there!!!!

In all the planning I did for last year's inaugural DLR trip, I never once heard a peep about Ursula's Grotto ... my kids would love singing, lol! Thanks for posting about it! (We loved DCA though and spent part of every day there)
