Disneyland now would be in front of Carntation Cafe on the west side where there is shade.

DCA I have not seen lately and have no opinion but the front area is a nice place to be so I can scoot over to Disneyland later.

For the DLR parade, we were right on the edge of the sidewalk directly in front of the Walt Disney and Mickey statue, basically where the road splits off. This was perfect because it was one of three stops during the parade so you basically get to see the entire show right in front of your eyes.

As someone else said for DLR, in front of Carnation Cafe.

DCA we watched the Pixar Parade from in front of the Wine Country Trattoria. We finished dinner there about 15 minutes before the parade started. We figured instead of looking for a place we would stay where we were. Very happy with this choice.

I agree. Westside for DLR and right in the middle of the main entry to DCA so when it's over we book it straight back to DLR for fireworks.
