What's your car rental rate for March?

Just started looking at rental cars this AM. Most discount codes aren't out yet for March. Haven't checked around a lot yet but I did go ahead and book a full size through Dollar through the Orlando MagicCard website. Just clicked a dollar.com link on their site to see what it came up with.

Full size
March 5 (9:30 AM) to March 13th (3:00 PM)
$254.60 total

Around $28/day for full size. Not bad but I have done much better at other times of the year. Since this is our first March trip I'm expecting things to be much higher as it is a busier time of year.

What rate did you get on what size car with which company plus any coupons?

I just booked a Full Size car with Budget for March 5-12th for $158.98 including taxes (picking up at MCO & dropping off at Cape Canaveral). I used the Walmart code I found on Mousesavers but I'm going to keep my eyes open for something better just in case.

Well, I went to Budget and used the Wal-Mart code and got a full size for $215. I reserved that one too! That's better than $254 at Dollar. I'm going to keep looking too.

For March 15-23, I got a full size for $216.87 with all the taxes etc. at Avis by going to Sears.com and looking for car rentals under the "Specialty shop" section. There is a $20 off coupon that I can use when I pick up the car if I pay with my sears credit card so it will actually come in under $200.

I found this rate by looking under Transportation on Mousesavers.com. There are lots of discount codes there for all the different rental companies.

By the way, I just love Avis. They are right there at the airport and the people are so pleasant and helpful. Also, a few years ago, I accidentally left my camera in the car when we returned it. I got home 8 hours later and called them and they had found it and sent it the next day via Fed. Ex!

I'll be down Mar 4 - Mar 11 and I got a rate of $113 ($145 I think it was with tax) for an Intermediate Car (Dodge Stratus) with Dollar.

I have March 12-19 with National in an intermediate for $227 inc. taxes.

I got an Economy Car (4 door) from Enterprise.com-March 17-21st for $108.40
Not great but about $40.00 better than the rest!
