What's wrong in November?

I think that time period might be what's referred to as NJ week. Although I've lived in NJ all my life my DD isn't in school yet so I'm not sure of the dates. However, early in Nov is teachers convention and schools are closed for several days. Many families use the break to go to WDW.

We were there last year Nov 5-11 and it was Jersey week, so the timing seems right. I believe Jersey week is usually near Veteran's Day, but I'm not 100% certain.

Even though a LOT is going on, I ALWAYS go this time of year!;) There is plenty of room and rides to go on with NO wait!;) MGM will be crowded, but last year they kept the crowds moving with extra help! It was very smooth.;) I have had my ressies since Feb. and thought I could change them now with the code out, but am having problems, so I guess a LOT of People WILL be going this year!;) I will keep trying though. ;)

Pooh Bear,

We went to WDW last year at that same time and it was VERY crowded. I didn't think it would be either given the fact that it was during the value season, etc. Everything everyone else has said is true. It's the wine festival at EPCOT and super soap weekend at MGM. Plus Veteran's Day and the fact that New Jersey schools have the Thursday and Friday off school before Vet. Day for their teacher's seminars does not help either. Every other person we met was from New Jersey and we were talking to one couple while waiting for a bus one night and she told us they should just move the teacher's seminars down to Disney because that's where everyone from Jersey goes anyway.

Our kids were 5 and 2 so they didn't really understand the long waits in line at MK, especially since DH and I weren't prepared for them either. We went to MK one day and one evening and we didn't even make it to Adventureland or Frontierland at all, except to go the the Country Bear Jamboree. If you're concerned about the crowds, you might want to change your dates if you can.

Also after we got back I was Christmas shopping at the Disney store and talking to my sister about the crowds and mentioned the super soap weekend. The clerk behind the counter just looked at me and said "You were at Disney over Super Soap weekend?" When I said yes, she told me that she had done an internship at WDW and everyone always tried to get that weekend off because it was sooooo crowded!

This is our favorite time to go, so much going on that we enjoy and we have never had much problem. Might be because we have been so many times and thus have no pressure to do it all. I am unable to stand in line for long periods of time and I do not have much trouble but again I do not do the scary rides that are favorites of so many. We avoid MGM during soap weekend but have heard that it is pretty easy to get on the rides since a lot of people are standing in lines to meet their fav soap stars.

Walking around WS and searching out the hidden corners with the small groups is a great way to enjoy the day and I even like sitting over at theAmerican Pavillion waiting for one of the old time bands to perform. You meet the nicest people and my hubby gladly wanders around and brings back goodies to share while waiting.

The art festival at DTD is nicely crowded but you see so many interesting things. Hardest part is finding your car when you are ready to leave. LOL

We are booked for November 7th-16th and are looking forward to the same great time we usually have. If we walk by and the line is crowded we just meander along and catch it another time. Ahhh, the joys of retirement and AP's!!!

Pooh, did you get your ressies? I had an easy time of it and hope that it works out for you also.

I have 2 ressies for 2 different Hotels one thru Dreams Unlimited. However, I want to arrive on Thurs the 6th and if I can't get a room for than, I will stay off site for that one night I guess. Haven't heard back from Dreams as yet, I guess they are OFF for the Labor Day weekend.

Pooh, I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you. Been there, done that before and it has always worked out. I am sure it will for you also.
