I wear Walmart clothes with Adidas shoes from Payless. :confused3

I really think that $300 is an outrageous price to pay for a purse. Sure, it can be well made and good quality, but most people only buy it for the "brand name" to fit in.

I don't specifically wear designer things, but I do like to do a little shopping from the expensive stores on their New Year Sales/After Thanksgiving Sales/Day After Christmas Sales. They have some eye catching things for low prices.

well i wear some designer outfits, but thats cuz i go to a school with alot of rich people that wear them and im just around it alot. Like i have northface jackets, and i have a cute pink juicy coture outfit, and stuff like that. but i like them and even if i didnt go to this school then i probably would still get them, probably more of them, cuz then my mom wouldn't be spending a bunch of money on my schooling.

I don't buy outrageously priced designer stuff. Yes, I may like them, but I'm not made of money. I own no Hollister, no AF, and only some AE stuff. I own no designer purses (a Coach knockoff, but that's a knockoff). It's just way to expensive.
I do own a few Polo shirts, but I got them at Marshalls. For $15-20 each, instead of the usual $40+ it costs in the actual Polo store.
But other than that, I normally wear Old Navy and Gap stuff. not that expensive.

Why waste all your money on stuff like that? Personally, I'll buy clothes from the Gap and then spend all extra money on books. Much more sensible. Except then I'm out of money. Oh well.

Do you know who makes Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic clothes??????

well, if you didn't it's children slaves. I STRONGLY believe that child slavery and child abuse is bad and inhuman, so i dont buy anything from those clothes stores. Sorry, just thought you would like to know just who is really making the clothes you are wearing.

So AE, Aeropostale, Hollister, (insert overrated expensive brand here), etc are sweatshop free?

personally, i think that skater shoes should be worn only by people WHO ACTUALLY SKATE. theyre built how they are for a reason. And frankly, i will never be caught dead in an AE, Aero, Hollister, Abercrombie and whatever store. Im not trying to bash anyone who likes these stores, but thats not my style, of dressing preppy. I wear what i want, and i could give a rat's butt what anyone else has to say about it.

They arn't slaves, for the most part at least. Sure they make un-fair wages and stuff like that, but it's not like some guy with a gun is forcing them to be there. They could quit, but their families will starve if they do.

Also, like Bellhop said, it's not like Hollister and AE are made by rich people living comfortably. I bet a lot of their factories have similar conditions. The only way to really get away from that stuff is to make clothes yourself.

what do you think these kids wouldnt be working? They wouldnt have money to eat, and they would starve.

also, i am a wear of so called ''preppy'' clothes, except i wont wear A&F for other reasons, but i think there is nothing wrong with these clothes, its a style that some people like to wear. Sure, its alot of money, but to me, its worth it. i like expressing who i am through my clothes, just like goths and punks. theses are just stores that sell ''preppy'' clothes. there isnt anything wrong with it. Also, shirts from there tend to last longer. I have shirts from those stores that have lasted 5 years, are in perfect condition, and i still wear them. I rather spend money on clothes that i wear every day, then cds.
im sorry if i offend anyone, but i had to get this out!

I have shirts from Michigan Football games that have been around almost 10 years now, and are still in the same condition they are in now, as they were when I got them.

I can't agree more with the comment about the shoes. I can't skate board well, and don't wear skater shoes, but it drives me insane when there are people everywhere walkign around in skater shoes but who don't skate.

I don't really dress preppy. I've got a style and it works for me. I wear alot of different brands and I can honestly say that I have absolutly no idea who makes the jeans I am wearing right now. I don't care. if I see somehting and I like it and I look good in it, I buy it. I don't see why you like clothes because of the name on the lable.

I find it funny when people wear stuff just because its "in". I wear a lot of roxy. 1) because its comfortable 2)I love surfing 3)I like snowboarding 4) They are developing skis, which will probably result in a team.

I don't understand the big deal over everybody criticizing people because they wear skater shoes but can't skate.

LYK3 OMG THAT GUY IS LYK3 WEARING SK8R SHO3S BUT HE CAN'T SK8!!!1111POSER!!11

Give me a break. Wear shoes that you like. If you like skating shoes because they are comfy, look cool, or whatever, then wear them.

Hopefully it's just a fad. I know one of my friends has a new Coach purse that she got for her 16th birthday, and then for Xmas got a Dooney & Burke purse. I personally think those purses are ugly. I'm fine with ones from PacSun that are $30 at the most. Plus the PacSun purses are really really cute and they hold a lot of stuff.

The most expensive place I get clothes from is American Eagle. But I only have 1 pair of jeans and 3 t-shirts from there. I usually get my clothes from Kohls (I love that store!!) But I know kids from my school that only get clothes from Abercrombie and Fitch and more expensive stores. I wish I had that kind of money... ::yes::

Ok maybe they aren't "slaves" but would you rather go to school and get an education or sit in a factory all day with horrible conditions and get paid like 25 cents an hour. either way if they are slaves or just not getting paid alot, its wrong to have children working. I know they are doing it so their family can have money, but thats only cuz their government makes it that way, and i think it should be illegal. Believe me i can go on and on and on about this, ive had this conversation before. and to my knowledge, no the clothes at AE,Hollister, and A&F are not made by children.

I wear Element,Billabong,Roxy and clothes from zumiez.I wear circas,dc's and vans.Skater clothes get pretty expensive.LIke my to sweatshirts combined are like $100 or more.I wear it bc i like the clothes not just bc they are "cool".

Those kids can't afford to go to school and get an education. That's the reason they arn't there in the first place. And a lot of those familes arn't like the ones here, where one family member with a good job can support the rest of them. NONE of those family members get paid a whole lot, so the whole family has to work to put bread and milk on the table.

I'm not saying it's right. I'm just saying those kids don't have much of a choice. Its, "work hard all day and barley get by, or starve to death".
