What's with all the free 12-pack pop offers??

I'm not complaining, I love it. Everywhere has had the buy four 12-packs get one free! Must be their July 4th special. That or they are really trying to move inventory. Either way, 60 cans of pop for $10 is pretty good!

Speaking of that, do the copmanies dictate the sales? Does Pepsi tell Walgreens, Hyvee, etc. "you are going to sell four twelve packs and offer a free one?" Seems pretty coincidental otherwise.

Not sure, but I got this yesterday at Publix on Coke.

They were marked Four 12 packs for $10.00, plus if you bought four you got the 5th one free with their coupon.
