What's Up with the 7-hour Star Wars Tour?

Has anyone done the 7-hour Star Wars Tour? I'm looking for a review of this experience.
Also, does anyone know how this has affected the Jedi Training Academy?

If you planned on eating in HS, doing the dessert party and JTA anyway it's not a bad value but it is very time consuming..

I doubt it impacts JTA much. They aren't doing 50+ tour participants who are under 12.

I'm really confused why this would be needed vs doing it all yourself.

The tour includes the dessert party, which means the tour guests are in the dessert party preferred viewing area. No one is stealing anything from anyone.

Laughing Place is live-blogging the tour today. It does seem very dragged out.
