I have been wanting to try this place for the longest time, but when I went to look at the menu it now lists "adult entrees" and does not look like it is family style even though it is priced like it. Anyone been there since it has reopened? If so what is it like now??

My daughters and I ate dinner there on May 12th. We had never eaten there and after riding Soarin we walked thru the new food court and both my girls turned their noses up at the choices there...NOT KID FRIENDLY anymore in my opinion! So we walked up to the GG and were able to get a table almost right away. We had no idea what to expect...we were so surprised! We had great breads with sauces(cheese, oil, hummus), family salad, then the girls got to pick an entree from a list and I picked from a list. All were very good. Dessert was family style chocolate fondue! We had strawberries, pineapple, marsmallows, choc chip cookies, brownies, gummy worms- it was the best! We were stuffed! And we got to see Mickey, Chip, Dale and Pluto. We are not huge food people...we graze thru the parks and do only a few sit down meals every trip but this one will go to the top of the list for our next trip!

I read somewhere that it is family style that you can choose more of an entree if you want.

Can someone confirm this?

i would love to know as well... or what if you opt to be daring and then don't like it, can you get something different?

I don't know if it was an all you can eat entree. It was with the bread, salad and dessert though the dessert was HUGE!!!

It is a character dinner. We saw Farmer Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. We had a great time and they had time to sit and play with the kids the night we were there.

The main course is served like Akershus. Guests order one entree. If they wish they can order more of the same or another option.
There is a lot of food that comes with the main course, so a second helping most likely is not necessary. But it is an option.

pirate: Has anyone had the chicken at GG? Is it plain? I was planning to try the GG in October with my DW and DS4. I wanted to take them to a Mickey charater dinner for my DW 40th birthday. She's a very picky eater. My DS is not a picky eater like myself. We tried LTT last year. She wasn't to pleased with it. And she dosen't do to well with buffets. When it comes to food, it's a good thing that my DS takes after me....LOL.

I too am curious about how the GG is now that it has reopened. We have a PS there for June 11th.

:cool1: Only 13 days until our trip!
Thanks,
Kim
