What's up at Doorway to Dreams?

Does anybody know what's currently going on at Doorway to Dreams at Woodfield Mall near Chicago? I heard after BLT was announced that they were going to replace at least part of their model there of AKV with BLT, to open for Black Friday -- does anybody know if this happened? I will be in Chicago over Christmas, and would love to see the BLT models (and maybe succumb to addonitis). Will there be any special events (read: incentives)?

Other than their opening celebration and the one year celebration last summer, their incentives are typically the same as you would receive at WDW.

The BLT models are a definite, and I will be able to tell you next weekend if they are open or not when I visit them.

The BLT model is open. I was there yesterday. It is a 1 bedroom. The CM said that is was slightly modified to fit in the space, but she didn't know what the modifications were.

I have to say - I hated the BLT from pictures, but it is actually nice in person

There is still an AKV model - it is where the studio was, but we did not go in it to see what it is now

I saw the new BLT one bedroom model today. It was a great respite after 4 hours of shopping. Got to sit down for a few minutes waiting for our guide to give us the tour. We also got a couple of drinks and the DVC christmas ornament. I was told the modification was that the room with the washer and dryer is slightly smaller due to a lack of space in the store. They still have the AKV studio but plan to remodel it after the holidays to make the whole thing BLT. I really likes the model, the kitchen layout is better than the SSR layout and it appears larger in the living/kitchen area. I'm not going to add-on but I will definately stay there some time in the future.

I went tonight with my DD to check it out. It's fantastic! They have the studio closed, and she said it should be done soon like BLT. The one bedrooms is just wonderful. Go check it out!

I'm surprised that they closed the one bedroom before the holidays. With all the traffic in the mall and both BLT and AKV being actively sold you would think it is good to have a representation of each. They were both open just this last Sunday.

If anybody goes and picks up an ornament can you please post a picture of it? I'm hoping to go and check out the BLT model!

we are going tomorrow morning. we talked to our guide and she is holding an ornament for us. she also told us they are re-doing the models to be all BLT. we can't wait to see the new model and get our ornament.

we were there today, got our ornament and took the tour of blt 1 bedroom. we personally like the akv. they also have an incentive, $1000 shopping spree (via visa gift card) or you can use it towards your downpayment. they will be having some characters in february there at the store for a special event, i believe the 19th, 20th and 21st. they will be offering some other incentives, although she couldn't tell us right then what they are, she said to make sure we come back if we want to add on.
