What's this Jambo/Kidani shuttle?

When I stayed at Jambo last year, there was no mention nor sight of a shuttle between the two. Although it's a fairly short walk, I don't relish the walk next month. It's really not shaded and right next to a parking lot, so I imagine that walk gets HOT!! A shuttle ride might be preferable. So tell me-is there one? And if so, how often does it run? Almost continously would be nice. Long wait? And how early/late? I'm wondering if there's a shuttle after the movie at the pool at Kidani.

I remember seeing this van during our stay in April
One of the guys that valets and unloads the luggage was assisting with it. You could probably ask one of them when the next shuttle van is leaving.

We went in June and there was shuttle van running between the two resorts I believe until 9:30? I am unsure of what time it started in the morning, but it was a nice perk during the hot days and the driver we had was so personable and chatted with us for the ride!

you can also take any of the park buses from kidani to jambo before they head out to the parks.

or you can hop the DTD bus from jambo to kidani.

They have a van that goes between the 2 resorts sometimes you end up waiting a while for it. We did last Oct it was 15 min but other times it has been right there. Ask at valet.

We had read about the shuttle on DISboards as well, but when we asked about it at Kidani last summer, they told us that the bus was the shuttle between the 2! I'm pretty sure a shuttle van exists, I even think we saw it once during our stay......good luck with it:)

When we stayed at Kidani in June, we saw the shuttle van, which is light brown in color. The front desk told us that it runs about every 10-20 minutes during the day. As a PP said, when leaving Kidani its just as easy to hop on any Park bus because they stop at Jambo first after leaving Kidani. However, when leaving Jambo to get back to Kidani, the only Disney bus you could use is the Downtown Disney bus. Then, its sometimes faster to use the shuttle rather than the Disney bus.

The Kidani/Jambo shuttle? Isn't that a dance that goes something like this?...

Would have loved to have known about this earlier this week when we were there. No one told us about the continental breakfast offerings at Sanaa either:confused:

I still think this is pretty much unnecessary....with the exception of getting back to Kidani from Jambo. Sometimes there can be quite a wait for a DtD bus at Jambo.

Smallish shuttle van (like a SuperShuttle). Does NOT go 24/7. Ask the CMs what time it stops, if you might need it late.

If you are going out later, get a map, find the walking path entrances so that you know where they are, especially if it's going to be dark when you need to come back. And knowing that the buses are also a way to get back and forth is also good; we did not know this until we were quite literally freezing (last December...that morning started in the low 30s and wasn't much higher at 10pm) and exhausted and having a hard time figuring out where the path was, etc etc, and the CMs didn't want to come away from their standing heater things to help us get to the path...

It was a rotten experience (and our first day at AKL so we had NO idea of where things were) that I would hate for anyone to replicate! So be sure you can find your way around, if you're going to be out too late for the shuttle and might have to walk/bus back. :goodvibes

thanks, bumber!!

kimpossible.. what continental breakfast offerings?

We are just back from a week long trip at Kidani and used the shuttle a few times. It is a van and fits about 7 passengers, 8 including the driver. It runs every 10 mins. between the two resorts and stops at 10pm, not sure what time it starts. There is trunk space for a wheel chair or luggage/packages.

The walk between the two is not long and really a pretty easy walk. But in the Aug heat, it's not too pleasant.;)

You can also take any theme park bus to Jambo house.

When walking back one day from Jambo to Kidani we headed straight for the underground parking first elevator. Once we were on the 2nd floor we were able to walk to the lobby in the A/C! :thumbsup2
We weren't able to take the van because there were more than 7 people waiting there for it and we didn't feel like waiting in the heat for a DtD bus. It took less than 5 mins. to get to the Kidani elevator in the underground parking area.

Oh, and no one told us about the shuttle at check in and they also didn' mention the cont. breakfast offered. We had no idea baout that till we got home!
