What's the scoop on Chefs de France?

Because of all the bad reviews, Chef's de France was the very last TS in the world Showcase that I tried. I finally tried it, just so I could say I had eaten at every TS restaurant (except the Bistro) in Epcot. I was really surprised at just how good it was. It is now one of my favorite restaurants at WDW. Their onion soup, escargot, charcuteries, cheese plate, salmon, duck, ham & cheese sandwich, tiger shrimp/scallops, chocolate/banana tart, profiterolles, creme brulee, and berry/rhubarb cobbler are all wonderful. We'll be dining there again Sept 6th and can't wait!

I have a different point of view.. we had reservations and they sat walk ups before us.

Our server was sullen and not very attentive....our appetizers, poorly prepared, my daughter ordered a cheese plate, the cheese was frozen. We called our server over, she seemed to not care. As we did not want to start a big thing, we just tried to get through the meal, maybe it was just the appetizers...even DH who is an escargot person was disappointed in his.

The food was mediocre, that is my recollection.. we had brought a first timer with us and we asked her what she thought. She was not impressed at all by this restaurant..

I will say I have had many fine meals at Bistro de Paris, but Chefs was not good this last time we went..

We love Chefs de France and usually go every trip. DD says the escargot is the best she's ever had and is what she looks forward to the most. I love to dip my bread in her left over sauce, but don't care for snails of any kind. The filet is always cooked perfectly and practically melts in my mouth. It's the entree we all order most of the time. As for dessert, we've tried several and they are all delicious. We've also always had very good service.
