What's the reason that Hollywood Studios is changing name for 2nd time?

With large sections of the park still geared to Hollywood, Disney Infinity Adventure wouldn't make a great deal of sense.

Questions like:
"Why is there the Chinese Theater in Disney Infinity?"
Would get asked. The answer would be tricky. "Well back in the late 80s they built this park as a working studio with a theme park connected to it, but that didn't work out so eventually we changed the name and built some new lands.

The theater... That's from back then."

Sticking with the established and flexible theme of Hollywood gives them a lot of place to play with and of course preserve key elements. Now it does seem like any of the behind the scenes stuff they pursued will be gone. Completely. Instead it will be about living in the movies (or riding the movies from Uni's playbook). Sets, scenery, and props will all be gone. That's a loss. Hollywood Studios was pretty unique in that respect, and the last bastion over at Universal Hollywood is also being completely reworked into a theme park.

The idea of a behind the scenes movie park was so cool, but is dying a slow painful death.

Now as to Disney Infinity. Could they build a Disney Infinity Land? Yeah. Could they even do a small complex? That would be cool. Would it work as the theme for DHS or DHA? Nope.

Infinity is mainstream, but not super mainstream.

I see your point just wanted to throw the idea out there since Infinity's toy box mode is about creating your own place with all the elements of Disney. Not specifically a land for the game itself but of all the characters that are featured in the game which have infinite possibilities. Yes I thought about the theater and most movies (that the infinity characters are based off of) are shown in a theater so that could work. As popular as the toy story mania is (which would also fit within the theme name) and star wars being introduced. Cars & Frozen are also included in the game. Was thinking Heroes and Adventure and outside of the box Not that it would be a park based on the game just taking a name that means Hero's and Adventure to a lot of kids! It would draw alot more crowds than DHA sounds boring! Just a thought

Oh come on, it sounds like an adventure! It's true that Disney's Hollywood Adventure isn't the most creative name. Islands of Adventure, Adventure Isle, Universal Studios Hollywood, and Disney California Adventure are some examples of similar theme park names. However, it helps create some cross branding between DCA and Florida. It also does give that broad theme.

Tower of terror should never have a Disney character time in ever it's a fantastic ride as is.

Heard speculation that since Olaf refers to the Studios as Hollywood Land during Frozen Summer Fun, that maybe it's a nod to the new name... Disney's Hollywood Land.

Don't look too much into it, both the Royal Processional and the For the First Time in Forever Frozen Singalong that I watched last year included that. Hollywoodland was actually the name of Hollywood before Hollywood. It's more of a nod to history than anything.
