What's the reason that Hollywood Studios is changing name for 2nd time?

What's the reason for all the name changing?

I personally still called it MGM up until a couple of years ago. Now I have to get used to another name!!

If I had to guess, they will take "Studios" out of the name because it is no longer a working studio.

I expect it to become "Disney's Movie Magic" or something similar. Still keeping the film connection but downplaying the Hollywood and studio aspects.

Expect it to become Disneys Hollywood adventure. That's what it most likely will be. That is correct it is not a studios anymore and there will be a massive overhaul of the park coming also confirmed by Iger today.

Whatever the name is changed to, I'm really excited about the expansion and transformation of this park. When all is said and done, it seems like the two least popular parks(DHS & AK) may end up being the hottest tickets at WDW!

The confirmed upcoming overhaul that Iger said. We just don't know when that will be.

It wasn't a functioning studio, but they still had the Studio Backlot Tour etc...

It seems reasonable to change the name while they are replacing/ revamping several of the attractions.

According to JHM, the name Hollywood Studios was possibly planned to be this park's equivalent of Epcot 94.
That it may have been a placeholder right from the get go.

The ride just closed this past summer but the dream girls have been gone for much longer.
