What's the process to get into Nomad Lounge now?

We haven't been there in a long time & DH mentioned that he wants to go on our next trip in Sept. I thought I'd read somewhere that you now have to get on a waitlist or something to get in???? (Last time we went this was not how it worked.) Has this become like trying to get into Trader Sam's?? What's the strategy now? Do you have to physically go to the lounge at a specific time to get on a list or can it be done on MDE?? Thx

You can join the list via the MDE app (pull up Nomad Lounge and click “join walk-up wait list”) or by speaking with a CM at the entrance. I’ve heard that going in person (vs. just via the app) tends to have better results. I just looked on the app and the current estimated wait for my party of 6 is only 10 minutes at 45 minutes until park closing. I don’t think it’s as competitive as Trader Sam’s, though I have heard there can be a wait on busy days.

I've done walk up and get on the list and done it with wait list on MDE. I don't really think one way is easier or better than the other. You need to be within a certain distance of the restaurant (I think) to get on the list on MDE. I've gone right before they opened and just got in line, you can get right in at that point. I've also gone mid-day around 2 and gotten on the list by going in person. I was told it would be a hour wait and it was pretty close to that. I've also walked into the park around 4:30 or 5 and gotten on the list on MDE after I got into the park. It was showing a 10 min. wait and by the time I walked over there my table was ready. It's hit and miss whether you are going to be able to walk up in person and get right in, sometimes they have space available at the bar if that is what you want and you don't have to wait. Either way, you will get a push notice on your phone when your table is ready and you have a certain amount of time to get there.

Also, even if it says the walk-up list is full, it’s worth going in person to ask. I was told bar seating is first come, first serve
