What's the oddest name you've encountered?

i have a friend named L.K.

yes...L.K. is his first name. He was born at home in the 40's in Alabama and his parents didn't fill out the birth certificate correctly ( his last name begins with K ) and they never changed it.
It is on his driver's licence and all offical papers!

(ps..they call him Zeke )

**Bowen Darrow**

I work in the medical field and see alot of interesting names.

There's an eye doctor close by here named Dr. Popoff, I don't know why, it always makes me laugh, ahaha I went to school with a girl named Destiny, not quite unsual as some of the others here.

There's a politician here in NH named D i c k Swett

How awful is that! I don't know how those anchormen can keep a straight face when reporting about him!

This is so hilarious.

My aunt told me about a neighbor of hers when she was growing up naming thier kids after lunchmeat, Boloney and Salami.

I have cousins names Tansia Malina and Talara Omara.

I knew a guy in school named Robert Roberts, and a girl named Jovetta Chiquta.

When I was in high school I worked at TCBY and the owners name was Tom Jones and the managers name was Brenda Lee.

I'm sure there are more but I can't think of any right now.

had a guy in karate class named Richard richardson and his son was Richard Richardson Jr. We always called the son Richard Richardson-son

Caseworker for welfare dept here...I've seen some crazy names!! I've seen the car thing...Lexus, Mercedes, Diamante etc. I just had a case today.... the K family...Kalif, Kalid, Kalip & Kaliq.... Can you imagine! I was confused by the end of the interview...I just kept asking her...now you 10 yr old is in what school. And the 6 yr old goes where....I couldn't keep them straight so I resorted to referring to them by their ages instead of their names! I've also had someone w/ the last name Fouck....now how do you call that in a crowded lobby????

I know a Dr in our area...Dr. Fuch! I also had a great Uncle named Hazel (they were from the hills what do you want!!!) and went to school with a girl named Penny Nickel! Some parents are insane!

I went to school with a guy whose name was Jack Daniels. The funniest last name I came across was a family I babysat for...their last name was actually Boner. Poor kids, how could you live that down in school?

I just had to post again. I was teeling DH about this thread and he said just last week he met the DBF of a girl named Penny Ann Nickel. Dh didn't believe the guy, so he showed him her car payment book. Her email Nic is 6cents@....

Oh my! Is it the same Penny Nickel I know...she was a few years older than I am...I guess she would be in her late 30s. I see your from PA...she would have been from Perry Co...outside of Harrisburg!

Dh says it's possible, she's probably somewhere in her thirties, and pooh sized.

There's an orthopedic surgeon near here named Dr. Stubbs & a dentist named Fr. Sinatra

My husband went to school with a Ben Franklin. I didn't believe him until we ran into him in a store one day and introduced him to me.
Also my SIL's name is Penney. My husband's grandmother wanted my MIL to give her the middle name Candy, but she wouldn't hear of it. I think it's bizarre.

She was fairly tiny when I knew here and she was very athletic. Good field hockey player, actually use to ref some of my games. She graduated HS when I was in 7th or 8th grade. Dark hair, short & fairly thin. Oh well....seems kind of funny!

I had a friend named Teri who married a man with the last name of Terry, thus making her Teri Terry.

There was an OB/GYN firm in a city I lived in once. Pace and Waite.

I used to run title searches on land. I came across a deed one day and the lady's name was Oolala. I was telling my mom how funny I thought it was someone would name their daughter oo-La-LA! She corrected me and told me it was pronounced oo-LAY-lah.

I used to work in a bank and one of our customers was named Pratoom Pottitong

My wisdom teeth were extracted by Dr. Fear, and one of my supervisors at work has the last name "Quackenbush"

I had to look where you were from when I saw this! I was supposed to have my wisdom teeth pulled by the same oral surgeon when we lived in Ann Arbor a few years back! I actually chickened out (maybe because of his name?!), and had it done by someone else a few years later after we moved!

I had a student in one of my pre-student teaching classes (many years ago) named Marvelous. He went by Marv, so I thought his full name was Marvin. He corrected me one day when I called him Marvin and I thought he was just messing with me, but the teacher assured me he was telling the truth! The teacher also told me his older sister was named Jenious.

I had a student (male) named Binger Show. And it wasn't a nickname, it was his given name.
Robin M.

I did not know that. My friend insisted she had these kids in her daycare. Maybe she had just heard the story and then exaggerated it.
