I've heard that they're putting a Soarin' Over California type thing there for the DL 50th. But thats just what I've heard...

* The highest point of the attraction is the start of the attraction, which is 35 feet tall, and its top speed is 20 mph.

Typhoon Lagoon guests can experience the ride when Crush N Gusher water coaster opens this spring. Themed to be the rusted-out washing facilities of an abandoned tropical fruit company, the three slides use water to propel riders up hills. The result is more akin to a roller coaster than a traditional gravity-bound slide."

I think there will be one. I read it will be like the "Master Blaster" at the best waterpark in the country(according to the Travel Channel) Schlitterbahn, in Texas. There will be jets of water that actually push your raft uphill.

I saw that on Travel Channel!!!! My kids wanted to go there just so they could go on that ride/slide!! I cant wait to tell them!!

I think it's official opening is mid-March - so it will already be open by May.

I had also read the slides are suppposed to be ready in March when the refurbishment is done. Here's hoping!

Here's the link to the Schlitterbahn site. It has a picture and description of the type ride that will be going into Typhoon Lagoon. It's a really neat ride and so is the rest of the Schlitterbahn park. I higly recommend it if you ever get the chance to go.

It is suppose to open on March 14 along with the re-opening of the park.
