What's the new ADR system supposed to be like?

I've heard they're changing the dining reservation system? Does anyone know what that means or what to expect? Thanks!

We know things will be more streamlined when they finish the upgrade, everything will also link together. Not much else we can tell you as of yet. We have not even been trained on the new system yet.

I thought I read somewhere that it will begin in October? and you'll be able to make ressies online? everything is just a rumor at this point IMO.

The online thing is a reality however no date has been announced on that. Online reservations are still in the planning stages. Tentative date for new phone system to be up & running is November 21st. Currently you can make ADR's for any location through Feb. 22. CRT, CM, V&A can be made at 180 days out but those are the only 3 that can be.

I've heard that the new system will not allow for double bookings. In other words you won't be able to book a lunch at different locations on the same day at or around the same time. you can book a breakfast Lunch and Dinner but not 3 lunches and only use one.

Unless they're truly linked to your room reservation, people will still be able to get around it unfortunately. All they would have to do is call in on a different phone line (cell vs home line) and use the name of another member of their party. Or for that matter if they have a common name (like mine ), just use their own name again, with a different phone number. Because of the hours I work, I usually make my ADRs while I'm at work and never have my reservation number, so always have them listed under my cell phone number. And no I am not one who double books, just see how it would be easy for someone to do so.
