What's the most you have won while gambling?

My luckiest and favorite and biggest casino win was at Foxwoods in CT - I had just gotten engaged - I was studying for the bar exam and I was hounding my soon to be husband to buy a bulldog (which we just had to have for our new apartment!) Bulldogs at that time were going for $1700.

I took a break from studying - drove to Foxwoods by myself - played Let it Ride. Table went cold - everyone left except me and one other person. I had enough for one more bet...I put out my $5 on each Let it Ride Spot...

for those who don't know this game - it is a poker game. You put up the table minimum on three spots and you get dealt 3 cards -- if you have a pair of 10's or better you are an automatic winner -- if you like your cards you can keep all 3 bets up. If you don't like your cards you can take back one of the bets. Dealer flips a card and that counts towards your hand. If th[at card helps your hand (for example if you had an ace in your hand and dealer flipped an ace you would now have a pair of aces which is a winning hand) you can leave your remaining 2 bets up but if you don't like that card you can remove your second bet leaving just one $5 bet. Then dealer flips another card - for 5 cards total - and if you have a poker hand you get paid and if you don't casino takes your last $5 chip. The bets pay on a sliding scale - so a pair is 1 to 1 --- 2 pair is 2 to 1 -- 3 of a kind is 3 to 1...etc]

So I get dealt 3 beautiful queens -- a definate winner of $45 bucks (so I am happy) and I leave all my bets up -- the dealer flips his next card which is the 4th queen -- 4 of a kind -- 50 to 1 -- I get a cool $750 plus a bonus of $150 for $900!!! The most I ever won.

I scoop up my winnings - call my fiance and tell him I am coming home that weekend and we are going bulldog shopping. We bought our little guy Porkchop using the winnings as a down payment - best money I have ever spent!! That is my best and favorite and biggest win!!!

I leave for Las Vegas next Wednesday...I am hoping for another big win because it is time Porkchop got a sibling...

What a great story!!! I'm not a table player at all. Takes nerves of steel I think, which I just do NOT have.

I wish I had inherited my mother's talent; she NEVER left a casino with less than she went in with, and usually won enough to pay for the hotel or more!

I won $75.00 when I was 21. I had $1.00 in quarters and ran it up to the $75.00.

I now work in the casino industry and very rarely, if ever gamble. I do the paying of jackpots to the lucky winners. Lots of fun to give away money.

My husband and I do very well on cruises. Between the two of us playing roulette, we usually manage to win enough to pay all of our room charges and still come home with $$$. Other than that, the best I have done is $500 on video poker at Foxwoods

I won $1000 on a slot machine in Bally's (Vegas) at 330am with $3. It was my last $3 & I just tossed it in a machine I was walking past to get to the elevators to go back up to my room. I pulled the lever & almost started walking away & then I heard bells!! It was heaven!

That day though total, I won about $1500. I won $200 at the 4 Queens & $300 at the LV Hilton. It was a good day! I'm not usually that lucky. I never touched my winnings though to put them back into a machine. I kept my gambling money separate & when I was done, I was done.

$250.00 on the slots in the Bahamas on our 10th anniversary trip about 15 years ago. I put $1.00 in and we won. I feel uncomfortable when I gamble. We recently went to AC for two days to celebrate our 25th, and we may have bet a total of $50.00 in three days. AC was interesting from morning until after dinner. At night, DW and I were bored silly. Gambling offers no excitement to us at all.
