Whats the "in" style

I know that in the US most people dress exactly the same. Everyone wants to be "in" or "hip" with what they're wearing. I live in PA and right now the style is all of the peasant tops or the really odd shirts with lots of frills and odd stuff. Now thats not in for my age since Im only 13 but thats all you see in the stores. In my school, and in my grade we're into just jeans and cool tops. I noticed that stripes are in this year and That some of the colors are sort of drab, maybe dark. I like to shop in Aero, AE, EXPRESS, Limited Too and Kohls. I was just wondering what are you wearing and where do you guys shop??

Well at my school everyone is either really preppy or really rock...lol is that a style? it is now. I fit more into the preppy group so thats all i know.

Everyone is wearing those new pieced jeans, the ones with the seams down the middle of the front and back. Shirts aren't really frilly, but most are a little dressier than just t-shirts. And hoodies are super popular. The popular stores are AE, Hollister, Abercrombie, and Aeropostale. I shop at all those stores, but i mostly wear just wear jeans and t-shirts. But thats partly because i really need to go shopping, lol.

Preppy guys wear abercrombie, ae, and hollister, with flip flops and long, shaggy hair. (which i think looks extrememly stupid on most guys, but whatever) Rock guys wear huge jeans and shirts w/ funny things on them, lol.

wow, this was kinda long. but im really observant and i love clothes, so i guess i pay attention to this kind of stuff.

Mmm, in my fav store, Graffiti, ALL the shirts are those damn peasant tops. They're pretty, but they look TERRIBLE on me! I just can't wear them, I think I'm more of a classic kind of girl.

All the boys wear Abercrombie and Fitch tees with Mavi or Diesel jeans (well, the ones I dress do anyways ) Guys used to shop at Structure, but it's Express for Men now and the clothes are alot different.

Personally, I shop in AF for my comfy/scrubby clothes, they're lounging pangs and shirts are SOOOO comfy and relaxing. Other clothes, well I guess I wear Diesel/Mavi/Buffalo jeans, but I like black dress pants the best. For my shirts I'll hit up Graffiti, Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Avenue, Armani Exchange, Guess, and Bebe.

Another popular color for this season seems to be tan, which I ALSO CANNOT WEAR due to my complexion. I just get lost in it (Grrr!).

Peasant tops and other 70s style clothing are really popular here, also. Girls wear a mix of that and Roxy and other surfwear brands. The peasant tops and nice jeans are for when you want to look nice, and at school, a lot of girls wear hooded sweatshirts and jeans or track pants. I have noticed that the velvet sweatsuits are in all the stores, which makes me wonder if I will see them at school this year. Popular colors are tans and browns for the 70s look. Popular stores are Charlotte Russe, Anchor Blue, Contempo Casuals, Wet Seal, and Forever 21.

Guys here wear jeans and t-shirts, all the time. You see Anchor Blue and Mervyns on them most often.

the gurlies at my school usually wear stuff from the buckle and usually wear t-shirts from the thrift store like the lil cute ones that say stuff...and the guyz wear pants from pac sun or structure with shirts from abercrombie or somethin like that

Peasent tops are very popular here too! I usually wear just jeans and a nice shirt with flip flops. The guys here are in different groups, we have the goth guys who wear all black, the skateboarders who wear slightly baggy jeans and skate shirts, the preppy guys who have all AE A&F ect, and then the hicks, they wear tight pants and dixe outfitters shirts with big belt buckles! Walking down the hall at school, you see a bunch of differnet things!!

i shop at AF,AE,Old Navy,Kohls and anywhere with cute clothes!
we got the flip flops changed at school so we can finally wear them to school!

peasant tops are very in...and i love them!! hehe!
and then skirts(blue jean ones and liek printed ones)
also shoes with a clunky heel!

and then just the regular AF and AE tops and such

boys...well they are boys...they all look aliek like every day

Girls its those peasant tops, tank tops, and tees from Brass Plum, Wet Seal, Refrence, Forever 21, Charlotte Russe. Some of the girls shop at A&F, and AE, but not much. Most of the people down here are going for more of a classy look, or they are jsut being comfy. There are SOO many different groups at my school it is hard to name all the places they shop, and whats cool and stuff

For guys it is mosty things like Fubu, Phat Farm, Nike, jerseys, Adidas, and sporty stuff. But some guys are more preppy and will do the A&F look. there is like a mix of EVERYTHING imaginable at my school.

well, try being a GIRL. EVERY shirt i bought this year for school, besides the Roxy tees, had bell-sleeves and were in the "peasant" theme. and i did NOT do that voluntarily. that is all the stores are selling!

Not true Carrie.. i got like 4 plain colored tank tops at Brass Plum today. Nothing peasanty about them hehe... you can find stuff out there that isn't copied from something back in the day. It is just hard to find

I looked at Charlotte Russe, Contempo Casuals, Wet Seal, Macys, Robinsons-May, and a few other stores. Okay...not ALL of the shirts are peasant tops. Just 95% of them. (And I can't wear tank tops at school anyways... but thanks for the tip )

Well.....all the girls at my music school are wearing all this retro 70s stuff, and all the blokes are wearing cords and shirts.

Everyone else seems to be wearing clothes with the British flag on, and A-symmetric tops, and blazers.

Hmm .. Maggie, besides us being practical twins, kids in our schools pretty much dress the same lol. We have EVERY style imaginable! And the stores have all that peasanty stuff .. Which I affectionately call "bohemian crap." lol I HATE it!!

Just about anything goes here .. AF, A&E, Aero, Kohls, Bebe, Guess, Nike, FUBU, Gap, NY & Company .. Like every store lol

I HATE THE PEASANT TOPS! and only for 1 reason! I look HORRIBLE IN THEM! I look at them and Im like omg thas cute! and then i try it on and i look horrible. I forgot...guys! OMG do i look at guys! Baggy jeans, and AE AF Aero anything. But SHOES! GUYS AT MY SCHOOL ARE OBSESSED WITH SHOES! STUPID 150$ SHOES! Iversons, Jordans, Nikes, Adidas, ANYTHING that they call "phat" Gurls are wearin chunky shoes, flip flops and sneakers are vans, pumas, nikes, adidas, and Sauconys which is what im wearin. But at my school we have uniforms, but on dress down days and when we hang out thas what we wear.

I don't know about you but I like t-shirts 1 size too big and jeans or jean type pants and "Yoga" pants as they're called at Old Navy. I am going into middle school this year. 7th grade. I bought some cool stuff at Khol's and Old Navy. I'm 5' 9" so alot of stuff from Aero' and Abercrombie doesn't fit right. I think what's "In" is stuff that fits tight. Not good for those of us with not so flattering figures might I add. Just get what you like. Who cares! Live a little. Express yourself!

I don't like the peasant stuff... not b/c It looks bad on me (hey that reminds me of the big red gum comercials... it looks good on you) it's not my taste (well think about it... peasant clothes...)... I like my two long sleeve tshirts from Disney World and our cruise, and aeropostale shirts. I don't know they names of the stores in the mall... I guess they usual, Kohls, JCPenneys, Macy, Sears... I don't pay much attention...
