Hi everyone :wave2: Just thought i'd start a thread on- what are the first things you do when you first arrive in your hotel room?

It sounds a bit silly but I always get out my antibacterial wipes and wipe over surfaces, toilet, sink area and also shower etc.. Is this weird or am I among many clean freaks who also do this? I don't really bother hanging up clothes and tend to just leave them in the suitcase if they don't wrinkle easily. I also pull down the sheets and inspect the bedding, I don't know why??? Maybe I'm a bit paranoid about sleeping on dirty sheets, not that they would be at disney hopefully!!! I also unpack my shampoo, cond, soaps etc.

So come on everyone, what do you do??? :thewave:

After watching the Prime Time special on rooms-I too will be wiping everything -and I mean everything! :earseek: down and then inspecting the sheets and folding the bedspread and putting it away-But I think taking a picture first would be a good idea too. :earsgirl:

Usually I just give the room a quick look but now I'm thinking I should do a more careful inspection. Then I'll unpack and head on out to the parks. :flower:

I wipe everything down too! I also spray surfaces with Lysol. My husband makes fun of me for it. But now I will take my picture before I clean. The room will only be that tidy once while we are staying there. :)

I check to make sure everything works, then spray the sink and toilet with Lysol.

Change clothes then head to a park or DTD.

This time we won't get there until about 10:30-11:00pm. After making sure the room is clean, we'll grab a quick dinner, hit the arcade, then off to bed. I think I'll take a few pictures this time as well.

I run out to the balcony and check out my view, yes that means i touch the door handle before its wiped down :teeth:

My girls jump from one bed to the other about three or four times...then i tackle them and we tickle and giggle, we are just so excited...

I run straight to the balcony, too!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Pictures and then wipe things down and unpack my clothes, using the dressers. I love that feeling of being comfortable. A little of home in a beautiful place! :goodvibes

I begin unpacking(if our room is ready) while DH takes the DD's to explore and Maybe swim before heading to MK. Our flight is always early so we have almost a full 1st day. :cool1:

I have to admit I am smiling.

I travel every week and rarely get sick and I NEVER wipe down anything at the hotel (and lots of hotels I have stayed in are not as nice as Disney LOL!) So if you don't do this I wouldn't panic!

I normally wind up arriving at Disney so late I either go grab something to eat or just go to bed!

I take photos!!! :)

Your pictures are fantastic! Do you mind sharing what kind of camera you were using? They are the best I've seen so far. I have a new digital that I'm learning how to use, but I may be in the market for another one after seeing your fabulous pic's!!! :)

Yes, we inspect room for cleaness, spray sinks, counter, toilet, and shower.Make sure the A/C works.
We really have never had a problem except at the Dolphin.

I always tip the bellman, then check my view from the balcony, make sure I know how to lock the patio door, and turn on the TV to obsessively watch the in-house channels in case Kryssa has changed her mind about her favorites since my last visit!! No wiping down here either - as long as the room is clean and the beds made, I'm good to go. Wiper-downers, do you do this in all the park bathrooms as well?

I do this while my DH and 2 girls test the beds.
Then I become the sargeant, getting them all up and out usually to the parks.
We don't travel and go to WDW to lay down all day is what my DH says I tell or (order) them.
We can sleep at home. :rotfl:

I usually throw my bags in the corner, kick off my shoes and fling myself backwards onto the bed and say "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - we're finally here"! :earsgirl:
