First snack?

For us, the first thing we eat in the park is usually lunch and that is always at Village Haus. Our first snack doesn't come until evening and it's usually a churro or a Mickey ice cream bar if it is hot.

We typically arrive at the hotel midday (after driving or flying in the morning). So after check in - we start off with our first midday break of the week. We unload all our stuff in the room, pull on our swimsuits and hit the pool and its attendant lounge chairs for at least a couple of hours. This relaxes and revives us after the hassles of travel and gets us through the hottest part of the day (ours are summer trips). Then about 5 or 6 pm we are ready to enter Dland. For me that first day experience of entering Dland via maingate, seeing the train station, walking through the tunnel and entering Main Street itself is an absolute giddy thrill. It is practically worth the whole trip just for that feeling. We take our time on Main Street (unlike MM or EMH days when we rush through), get an ice cream and decide which FP to grab for later (usually IJ or BTMRR) and start riding rides where the lines are shortest.
