Whats the earliest youve made reservations?

I am slowly planning another trip. How soon does everyone make their room ressies?

I just made ressies for a trip Aug. 04. I say make your ressies as soon as you know you are going. It just makes me feel good to know I have an official reservation and a trip is on it's way!!! Even if it's not for a long way off.

We used to make them a year before.

Since we joined DVC, it's usually 11 or 7 months ahead

For me, it is usually 11 months ahead.

I made my reservations as soon as the rooms were in the computer! My AKL room was booked a year + out, and Dolphin
1 year exactly. Also bought my AP vouchers.Even my ressies for Discovery Cove were made a year to the day out. I'm just waiting for my flight times to be released so I can book that and my rental car!

We always make ressie's for our next trip the day after we come home.

I just broke my previous record of seven months. Made our Dolphin ressies nine months out. The earlier you book, the better your choices.

Our earliest reservation made was for this upcoming trip in November. We made the ressie last October 2002 as soon as we figured out which week we wanted to take and were pretty sure we could take the time off from work.

Prior to that, for our POR (Dixie Landings at the time) trip we made ressies about 6 months beforehand. For our honeymoon, we made ressies 9 months out.

Well, my personal record is 18 months (actually it was longer, because we kept changing the date), but its usually about a year.

I can remember driving down to wdw at christmas time in 1982-83 and hearing on the news that someone had made reservations at the Contemporary for New's Year's Eve 1999. Now, not only must that be some kind of record for an advance reservation, but as a 13 year old kid, it blew my mind that anyone could think that far in advance .

Of course, now I make plans a year or two in advance and my best friend who is 10 years younger than I am can't understadn why we can't just do everything at the last minute.

Our (DH and I) next trip is May 2-12, 2004. We love to resort/hotel hop so we will be staying at three different properties. Today (9/26) I made our first reservation thru Dreams right here at the DIS at the Dolphin, getting the gov't employee rate. I will continue to search for other great discounts at other resorts and book as soon as I see something special.
