Hope to see True Grit this afternoon with my husband.
I checked the movie guide. One showing is with digital cinema/digital sound. Another one showing has it without this. What's the difference? I know I can call the theater and ask, but thought I might get a quick answer here. Thanks!

Digital projection uses an electronic version of the film and a projector like the one you hook to a computer (better quality, presumably), so no scratches or anything like that. Without digital projection they're still just loading up traditional film reels and shining a bright light through them.

In either format today the sound is usually Dolby Digital or THX digital surround sound.
